1Marvel Strike Force Stryfe is a battlefield controller with Taunt cycling, buff transfers, and energy support especially strong in War Defense and when paired with Mr. Sinister. He’s a top protector for Marauder and Mutant Villain teams.
Basic – Psychic Strike:
Deals 300% damage at level 7 (250% at level 6). If the target has Taunt, Stryfe gains +1 Taunt (max 3) and clears Taunt from the target. If Mr. Sinister is an ally, all positive effects are transferred to him (4 effects at level 6). A T4 upgrade adds 50% more damage useful situationally against buff-heavy enemies.
Special – Superiority:
Costs 4 energy and starts full. Grants +1 Taunt, 3 Deflect, and Barrier equal to 15% of max health (10% at level 6). Also generates 2 energy for 2 random Marauder allies. T4 adds 5% more Barrier not always essential.
Ultimate – Nullifying Blast:
Costs 5 energy, usable turn 2. Applies Ability Block and deals 420% damage to primary and adjacent targets (360% at level 6). T4 adds 60% more damage, making it a strong offensive upgrade.
Passive – Grandeur:
On spawn, fills Speed Bar by 10% + 10% per Mutant Villain ally. While taunting, gains +1 Deflect (max 3). If Mr. Sinister drops below 50% HP, Stryfe gains Taunt and 15% Barrier (10% base).
In War Defense, adds 50% Resistance and Focus (60% with T4), +30% health for Marauders, and 2 energy to Marauder/clone allies when Sinister uses his ultimate. T4 improves resistance, focus, and Barrier utility.
Iso-8 Recommendations
Stryfe’s Iso-8 should focus on boosting survivability, as he’s the main taunter for the Marauders. A tankier Stryfe makes it harder for common War counters like Power Armor or Fantastic Four with Ultron to succeed.
Fortifier is the top choice, increasing Health and Defense while strengthening his barrier, making him harder to kill and ideal for his protector role. Healer is a viable alternative, providing steady healing to keep him alive longer especially useful in prolonged fights.

Gameplay and Strategy

Stryfe is a strong Protector for the Marauders in Marvel Strike Force, excelling in taunt control, survivability, and utility especially when paired with Mr. Sinister. His basic attack, Psychic Strike, adds taunt if the target has it and clears taunt from enemies, allowing better target focus. His special, Superiority, starts charged and grants taunt, Deflect, and barrier, making it ideal for early survivability.
Stryfe synergizes closely with Mr. Sinister by transferring buffs to him and protecting him with barrier if Sinister drops below 50% health. His passive boosts Resistance, Focus, and Max Health for the team on War Defense, while also generating energy for Sinister’s ultimate.
