Introduction to Mech Abomination Echo Guide

Wuthering Waves Mech Abomination Echo Guide - information

Wuthering Waves Mech Abomination Echo Guide: Mech Abomination is a Cost 4 Overlord Class Echo, listed as R56 in the Echo Index. It deals Electro DMG through its Echo Skill, making it ideal for Electro-based DPS builds. Its high damage output and elemental synergy make it a strong choice for characters focused on Electro attacks.

Echoes are essential to Resonator builds, providing stat boosts and active abilities. Only the Echo in the first slot grants its skill. Echoes come in four classes—Common, Elite, Overlord, and Calamity—with the latter two offering the highest power and Cost. Matching Echo elements can activate Sonata Effects, granting bonus effects that enhance specific playstyles. Equipping Mech Abomination is best suited for boosting Electro DPS performance.

Obtaining the Mech Abomination Echo

Wuthering Waves Mech Abomination Echo Guide - boss location

The Mech Abomination Echo is obtained by defeating the Mech Abomination boss and absorbing its reverberation. It is located in the Court of Savantae Ruins, within the Huanglong region’s Whining Aix’s Mire area. To reach it, teleport to the Court of Savantae Resonance Beacon, enter the large ruined building, and drop through the hole inside to access the underground arena where the boss awaits. In the Echo Index, this boss is listed as R56.

The Mech Abomination is a slow, legless boss that attacks with its arms, chaining up to three hits. Watch for its spin attack that creates a wind vortex—dodge and strike when it ends. Its Electro left arm grab is unblockable but has a slow wind-up, making it easy to avoid. If the fight drags on, it may drop scrap metal from above; use the Levitator to hurl the debris and stun the boss.

Due to its high Electro resistance, Electro-based characters may struggle in this fight. Characters that deal Glacio or Fusion damage, such as Lingyang, Encore, Chixia, Mortefi, and Baizhi, are better suited for defeating the Mech Abomination efficiently.

Mech Abomination Echo Ability

Wuthering Waves Mech Abomination Echo Guide - echo ability

At Rank 5, the Mech Abomination Echo Ability strikes enemies in front, dealing 48.64% Electro DMG, and summons a Mech Waste that continues the assault. On impact, the Mech Waste deals 320.00% Electro DMG, then explodes after a short duration, inflicting an additional 160.00% Electro DMG in an area. After casting this Echo Skill, the active character gains a 12.00% ATK boost for 15 seconds, enhancing their overall damage potential. The Mech Waste’s damage is also influenced by the Resonator’s Outro Skill DMG, scaling with their stats for even greater effectiveness. The skill has a 20-second cooldown at Rank 5, making it a powerful tool when timed correctly in rotations.

Possible Sonata Effects

The Mech Abomination Echo can trigger the Lingering Tunes Sonata Effect when equipped with other compatible Echoes. This Sonata Effect enhances offensive capabilities, making it ideal for DPS-focused builds.

The 2-piece set bonus provides a straightforward 10% ATK increase, boosting overall damage output. When equipped as part of a 5-piece set, Lingering Tunes offers additional bonuses: while the Resonator is on the field, their ATK increases by 5% every 1.5 seconds, stacking up to four times for a maximum of 20% bonus ATK. Additionally, Outro Skill DMG is increased by 60%, making this Sonata especially effective for characters who frequently swap in and out of combat or rely heavily on Outro Skills.

Possible Main Stats and Substats

The Mech Abomination Echo provides a range of stat boosts to the Resonator it is equipped on, including both Main Stats and Substats, which can vary depending on the Echo’s rank and cost.

Main Stats

At Rank 4, Level 25, the Overlord Class (4 Cost) Mech Abomination Echo offers the following possible main stats:

Crit. Rate (22.0%)

Both the Overlord (4 Cost) and Calamity (4 Cost) variants share the potential primary stats of ATK, HP %, DEF %, Crit Rate, Crit DMG, and Healing Bonus, with ATK being a fixed main stat.

Substats

In addition to main stats, the Mech Abomination Echo can have a variety of Substats that offer further stat boosts. These include:

HP: 320 – 580

Recommended Resonators

The Mech Abomination Echo is highly recommended for characters who can benefit from ATK buffs and deal Outro Skill DMG. The Echo’s skill boosts the current character’s ATK and the Mech Waste’s damage, which is considered Outro Skill DMG. This makes the Echo particularly advantageous for teams that frequently switch between characters. Below are the recommended Resonators who can make the most out of the Mech Abomination Echo:

Lingyang: Can greatly benefit from the ATK increase and the damage boost to her Outro Skills, making her a strong pick for the Echo.

Important Note: While Calcharo is a suitable candidate for the Mech Abomination Echo in terms of stat boosts, he struggles during the Mech Abomination boss fight due to the boss’s high Electro resistance. For farming the Echo, it is recommended to use Glacio or Fusion characters instead for better performance.
