The Magnifying Glass is a newly introduced Mythical-tier gear in the Roblox: Grow a Garden, added with the Mega Harvest update. It is considered one of the most useful tools in the game.

The primary function of the Magnifying Glass is to instantly check a crop’s value without harvesting it. This saves players the lengthy process of taking a fruit or vegetable to the Sell Shop to be examined by NPC Steven.

Grow a Garden Magnifying Glass Functions

By knowing a crop’s current value, players can decide whether to sell it immediately or let it grow further to acquire more mutations. This helps optimize harvests and maximize profits.

Tracking Mutations

The tool tracks a crop’s value as it grows and accumulates mutations from animals and weather events. The pop-up message showing the value accounts for all possessed mutations, displaying the combined value. If a plant’s value changes due to a new mutation, the displayed value will update.

It offers a significant quality-of-life upgrade, making farming more efficient. Previously, the only way to know a crop’s value was to harvest it and take it to the Sell Stuff Stand.

Aesthetic Preservation

Grow a Garden Magnifying Glass allows players to keep valuable fruits in their garden indefinitely without harvesting them, preserving the garden’s beauty or charisma. It’s important to note that the Magnifying Glass does not check a crop’s weight; it only shows its value.

How to Get the Grow a Garden Magnifying Glass

The Grow a Garden Magnifying Glass is a rare and expensive gear item. It can be purchased from the Gear Shop (also referred to as Gear Stall).

This shop is managed by NPC Eloise and is located on the opposite side of the Seed Shop, or between the Pet Egg Stall and the Cosmetic/Crafting Stall in the central area on the north side of the map.

Players can buy the Magnifying Glass for 10,000,000 Sheckles or 99 Robux. As a Mythical gear, it has low odds of appearing in the Gear Shop’s stock, meaning players might need to wait for it to spawn.

Players can monitor the stock themselves every 5 minutes or check Theria Games’ Stock Tracker, where a bot updates new seeds and gear stock every 5 minutes. Purchasing with Robux allows players to bypass the wait for it to be in stock. Currently, there is no known crafting recipe for the Magnifying Glass.

How to Use the Grow a Garden Magnifying Glass

1. Equip the Magnifying Glass from your inventory.
2. Approach the crop whose value you wish to check.
3. Hover the cursor over the crop and click on it while holding the Magnifying Glass.
4. After a few seconds, a text will appear, informing you of the crop’s current sale value. The exact Sheckle value will appear above the plant.

Each Magnifying Glass has only 10 uses before it is destroyed. It is a consumable item and cannot be resold after use. Interestingly, the Magnifying Glass can be used on other players’ gardens. This has led to an increase in reports of players stealing valuable crops after checking their prices.

This also applies to favorited plants. To mitigate this risk, players should remain alert, harvest valuable crops, or play on a private server for complete safety. While the Magnifying Glass is not strictly essential for gameplay, it is considered extremely helpful for identifying high-value crops and optimizing harvests.
