Wuthering Waves Rocksteady Guardian Echo Guide: The Rocksteady Guardian is an Elite Class Echo introduced in Version 1.0, known for its towering, rock-like appearance and formidable physical presence. With a cost of 3 and available up to Rank 5, this Echo embodies durability and overwhelming force, resembling a walking fortress carved from stone. Despite its defensive look, it is designed for aggressive frontline engagement, using its immense strength to demolish anything in its path. The Rocksteady Guardian also features a Phantom variant, offering aesthetic variation. It holds a notably high resistance to Spectro damage, making it more resilient against enemies or Resonators who utilize that element.

At Rank 5, the Rocksteady Guardian Echo grants a powerful transformation ability that focuses on counterattacking and mitigating damage. Upon activation, the Resonator transforms into the Rocksteady Guardian and enters a Parry State. While in this state, if the transformed Resonator is struck by an enemy, the Echo retaliates by dealing Spectro DMG equal to 8.29% of the Resonator’s Max HP. Following the initial counter, it performs an additional follow-up attack that also deals 8.29% of Max HP as Spectro DMG. The skill can be manually deactivated at any time to exit the transformation.

When the Resonator successfully parries a Special Skill attack from an enemy, the ability is further enhanced. The incoming special attack is interrupted, and the Resonator gains a Shield equal to 30% of their Max HP. This triggers a two-stage follow-up attack, with each hit dealing 5.52% of Max HP as Spectro DMG. Simultaneously, three ground-breaking shockwaves are unleashed, each dealing 4.59% of Max HP as Spectro DMG.

The Echo Ability has a 15-second cooldown, making it a reliable tool for countering powerful enemy skills while providing strong area damage and defensive utility through shielding and parrying.

Rocksteady Guardian can drop with either the Celestial Light or Rejuvenating Glow Sonata Effects, making it versatile for both offensive and support-oriented builds depending on the user’s needs.

The Celestial Light set focuses on enhancing Spectro damage. Equipping two pieces grants a 10% increase to Spectro DMG, providing a consistent elemental boost. When five pieces of Celestial Light are equipped, using an Intro Skill further amplifies Spectro DMG by 30% for 15 seconds, making it ideal for characters who rely heavily on elemental burst windows after swapping in.

On the other hand, the Rejuvenating Glow set supports healing and team-wide buffs. With two pieces equipped, it boosts Healing Bonus by 10%, enhancing any healing effects the Resonator provides. How to Get Rocksteady Guardian Echo

The Rocksteady Guardian Echo can be obtained by defeating Rocksteady Guardian enemies found in the overworld. These Elite-class enemies are stronger than regular foes and feature a Vibration Strength bar, which must be depleted to effectively interrupt and damage them. Upon defeat, there is a chance they will drop the Rocksteady Guardian Echo.

Another method of acquisition is through Tacet Field Cleanups, where Elite-class Echoes like Rocksteady Guardian can appear as possible rewards. Participating in these cleanup events provides a reliable way to farm Echoes and upgrade materials.

A Phantom variant of the Rocksteady Guardian also exists—a rare, color-shifted version that can replace the appearance of any Rocksteady Guardian Echo. It can be found south of the Thundering Mephis in the Withering Frontline and on the island north of the Tower of Adversity. Defeating and absorbing it adds the Echo to your Data Bank and unlocks the “Do You Believe in Light?” trophy.

Additionally, a special variant called the Alptop Champion can be found in the Retro Game Collector challenge located in Black Shores, just south of the Tethys Hub.
