The Shocked mutation is a visual and value enhancement for your crops in Grow a Garden. When a crop gains the Shocked mutation, it will appear neon and glow brightly, emitting light particles.

This makes it easily distinguishable in your garden. It is considered one of the best and most valuable mutations in the game.

Grow a Garden Shocked Mutation: Multiplier

Grow a Garden Shocked Mutation provides a substantial x100 multiplier to the base sale value of your crop. This high multiplier can significantly increase your profits, potentially making common fruits worth a fortune.

How to Obtain the Grow a Garden Shocked Mutation

The primary method for obtaining the Shocked mutation is through environmental factors:

Thunderstorm Event

The Shocked mutation occurs when lightning strikes a crop during a Thunderstorm weather event.

Thunderstorms are a random weather event that happens rarely. During a Thunderstorm, your plants will also receive a +10% grow speed bonus.

Mutation Spray Shocked

You can also apply this mutation by using the ‘Mutation Spray Shocked’ gear. This gear can be crafted using Cleaning Spray (1), Lightning Rod (1), and Sheckles (1,000,000). The crafting time is 2 hours.

Pets with Shocked Mutation

Grow a Garden recently introduced Pet Mutations, this feature gives a chance to your pet to have an improved and unique skills. As of today there are 12 Mutations that your pet can have, including the Grow a Garden Shocked Mutation.

You must have a pet at age 50 to use the Pet Mutation Machine. There is a 3.22% chance to have the Grow a Garden Shocked Mutation on your pet. During a Thunderstorm, Every 60 seconds, Pets with Shocked Mutation has a 25% chance to attract lightning, shocking nearby fruits!

‘Jandel Storm’ weather event can also cause Shocked Mutation. This event lasts for a minute, and causes lightning strike across the server

Unlike some other highly valuable mutations like Disco or Voidtouched, Grow a Garden Shocked Mutation is not tied to an admin-exclusive event, meaning it can show up more frequently (though the thunderstorm itself is rare).

Tips for Increasing Your Chances

While the occurrence of a Thunderstorm and a lightning strike can be random, you can take steps to maximize your chances of getting Shocked crops:

• Use a Lightning Rod: Placing a Lightning Rod in your garden will increase the likelihood of lightning striking plants near it, thereby boosting your chances of getting the Shocked mutation.
• Patience and Setup: Since it relies on random weather, patience is key. A proper setup with a Lightning Rod can help you harvest many Shocked fruits daily.
• Stack Mutations: The Shocked mutation can stack with other mutations, such as Wet, Gold, or Rainbow, which can increase the crop’s selling price by multiple folds. For example, a Rainbow + Shocked combination offers a x5,000 multiplier. Remember that no mutation in Grow a Garden will decrease the value of a crop.
