In Roblox: Grow a Garden, mutations are unique transformations that enhance the value of your crops. The Burnt Mutation is one such transformation that can significantly boost your farming profits. It is categorized as an environment-type mutation in Grow a Garden. It is one of many mutations that can occur on your crops, altering their appearance and increasing their sale value.

Grow a Garden Burnt Mutation typically applies a x4 multiplier to the crop’s base value. However, some players also state it grants a x5 value multiplier.

How to Obtain Grow a Garden Burnt Mutation

Cooked Owl (Pet)

The Cooked Owl is the only pet that can apply the Grow a Garden Burnt Mutation. The Cooked Owl has a passive ability called ‘Let Him Cook’. Every 15.01 minutes, there is a 15.35% chance that the pet will mutate a nearby plant with the Burnt mutation.

The Cooked Owl also provides an additional 0.17 EXP per second to all active pets. The mutation chance and XP boost increase as the Owl levels up. This pet was a limited-time reward given to players who were logged in before or during the Crafting Update (also referred to as the Working Bees update) on June 14, 2025.

Note: If you missed this event, the only current way to get the Cooked Owl is by trading with other players who own one.

Mutation Spray Burnt

Players can also use a specific spray to get the Burnt Mutation, by spraying the Mutation Spray Burnt to their desired crops.

Currently, the Mutation Spray Burnt is not obtainable. It was available during the Summer Harvest Update, by purchasing it through the Harvest Shop for 3 Summer Points.

Grow a Garden Burnt Mutation used to be an admin-exclusive mutation. It was previously only available to those who possessed the Red Dragon pet. The Red Dragon pet, which is currently unreleased, has a passive skill called “Scorched Soil” where it occasionally sets a random nearby crop on fire, applying the Burnt Mutation.

Grow a Garden Burnt Mutation: Rarity

Grow a Garden Burnt Mutation is considered uncommon. While it is currently “available” in the game, its obtainment relies on owning the Cooked Owl pet, which itself was a limited-time reward. This makes the Burnt mutation relatively rare.

The Burnt mutation can be a valuable addition to your Grow a Garden strategy, especially if you have access to the Cooked Owl pet, allowing you to increase your crop profits.
