Genshin Impact Beacon of the Reed Sea
Weapon Type: Claymore
Rarity: ★★★★★ (5-Star)
Signature Weapon: Dehya
Introduced: Version 3.5
I. Weapon Overview
Genshin Impact Beacon of the Reed Sea is a 5-star Claymore designed as Dehya’s signature weapon, combining CRIT Rate with significant ATK and situational HP boosts. While themed around Sumeru’s desert aesthetic—similar to the Staff of the Scarlet Sands and Key of Khaj-Nisut—its performance makes it a generalist powerhouse among claymore-class weapons.
II. Weapon Stats
| Level | Base ATK | Substat (CRIT Rate) |
| 90 | 608 | 33.1% |
III. Passive Skill – Desert Watch
Effect: Grants ATK boosts and conditional Max HP increase.
- ATK +20% for 8s after hitting an opponent with an Elemental Skill
- ATK +20% for 8s after taking damage
- Both effects can be triggered off-field
- +32% Max HP if the wielder is not protected by a shield
This passive can be triggered separately and stacks in duration. However, shielded characters will not benefit from the Max HP bonus.
IV. Weapon Evaluation
Strengths:
- High CRIT Rate makes it easy to build around
- Two consistent ATK buffs (triggered by Skill or taking damage)
- Off-field activation enhances synergy with certain support or quick-swap roles
- The HP bonus synergizes especially well with Dehya and other characters who benefit from increased HP
Limitations:
- Shield negates HP bonus, reducing passive value for characters like Noelle or Navia with Geo shielder comps
- May cause CRIT Rate overcap when paired with artifact sets like Marechaussee Hunter or Obsidian
- Does not benefit DEF-scaling characters such as Arataki Itto
- Characters who don’t consistently deal Elemental Skill damage (e.g., Gaming) may have trouble activating the passive
V. Recommended Characters
| Character | Usage Notes |
Dehya | Signature weapon, fully utilizes both ATK and HP bonuses. Designed around her self-damage mechanic. |
Diluc | Great synergy with Skill uptime and CRIT Rate. Passive activates naturally during rotations. |
Eula | Strong option, especially at C2 where skill usage is frequent. Great burst synergy. |
Razor | Reliable ATK and CRIT Rate boost during Electro uptime. Passive fits well into his skill rotation. |
![]() Beidou | Gains good value from CRIT Rate and off-field activation. Works well with her burst. |
Gaming | One of his top weapons. Passive can activate easily, though full uptime may vary. |
Chongyun | Benefits greatly when built as a main DPS. Skill usage maintains passive. |
![]() Noelle | Useful for CRIT Rate and ATK, but shield presence negates HP bonus. Still viable in non-shield setups. |
Navia | Good CRIT Rate and ATK boost. HP bonus is lost with Geo shields, but passive still activates. |
Freminet | Solid stat stick. Increases survivability and consistency in rotations. |

VIII. Synergy with Dehya
Artifact Recommendations:
- Emblem of Severed Fate (4-piece): Best generalist option for C0–C3 Dehya as Main DPS
- Crimson Witch of Flames (2pc/2pc variants): For reaction-based Pyro builds
- New 3.6 Artifact Set (e.g., Vourukasha’s Glow): Not recommended before C4 due to stat dependency and lower consistency unless fully invested
Build Notes:
- High CRIT Rate substat allows for more flexibility in artifact substats and weapon pairing
- HP scaling from passive enhances Dehya’s survivability and field presence when played without shielders
- Passive supports both on-field and off-field roles, suiting her unique kit that blends burst, sustain, and tankiness
