Hero Selection & Deployment
Before each chapter, you choose five heroes.
You start with two heroes on the board and unlock additional slots as your experience bar fills, until all five can be deployed.

Positioning matters: bosses target front heroes more often, so put durable units in the back.
Deploying more heroes increases the EXP multiplier, letting you unlock the full lineup faster. Once placed, heroes cannot be removed.

- Every 10 levels → Promotion Stones required.
- Other levels → use Hero EXP (common later in game).
