AFK Arena Arcane Labyrinth Guide

AFK Arena Arcane Labyrinth

AFK Arena Arcane Labyrinth Guide: Introduction

The AFK Arena Arcane Labyrinth is an engaging game mode that becomes available once players complete stage 2-4 in the Dark Forest. It challenges players to navigate through a series of tiles, each filled with different enemies and floor bosses, with the ultimate objective of defeating the boss on the third and final floor. The Labyrinth resets every 48 hours, refreshing all tiles and rewards, keeping the gameplay dynamic and offering players new challenges regularly.

AFK Arena Arcane Labyrinth Guide: Unlock Conditions

Normal Labyrinth

This version becomes available after completing stage 2-4 and introduces players to the Labyrinth’s core mechanics.

Hard Mode Labyrinth

Unlocking after stage 9-24, this mode features stronger enemies and increased rewards in the form of gold and experience.

Dismal Maze

The toughest challenge, unlocked after completing chapter 26 and 30 runs of Normal mode. This mode limits players to heroes from specific factions, and each floor adds new buffs or debuffs to the enemies, intensifying the difficulty.

Each iteration of the Labyrinth presents its own set of strategic challenges, requiring players to plan their moves and manage their heroes carefully to succeed.

AFK Arena Arcane Labyrinth Guide: Difficulty

The difficulty of the AFK Arena Arcane Labyrinth is dynamic and adjusts based on the strength of a player’s heroes. The game scales the power of enemies according to the Attack Ratings of a player’s top 5 heroes, meaning that as players improve their heroes, the enemies they face become stronger. While this increases the challenge, it also offers a reward for overcoming tougher foes, as stronger enemies drop better loot, including higher-tier relics and more valuable rewards.

In the Dismal Maze, the difficulty is further amplified by faction restrictions and additional debuffs. Players can only use heroes from certain factions, and each layer of the Labyrinth applies a new buff or debuff to the enemy team, adding a layer of complexity to the strategy. Additionally, players are restricted to using only 3 Dura’s Tears per run, making the management of resources even more crucial in this difficult mode. These elements combine to create a more intense and strategic experience, requiring careful planning and hero selection to succeed.

AFK Arena Arcane Labyrinth Guide: Tiles

In the AFK Arena Arcane Labyrinth, players navigate a path made of tiles, each offering different encounters and opportunities. The layout of each floor consists of nine rows of two to three hex tiles, plus a single tile at the top representing the floor’s boss. When a player steps onto a new tile, the adjacent tiles are destroyed, making each decision about which path to take important.

AFK Arena Arcane Labyrinth Tiles

Enemies

Most tiles contain enemies that players must defeat to progress. Enemies come in three levels, indicated by the color of the banner they hold:

Brown banner

These enemies are easier to defeat and drop lower-tier relics, typically rare (blue) or epic (purple).

Red banner

These enemies are harder to defeat but drop epic (purple) or legendary (orange) relics. It is often best to focus on red flags to get the Elite/Legendary Relics.

Boss

Each floor has one boss at the top, which is the hardest to defeat but always drops legendary (orange) relics. Defeating bosses on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors gives 50, 100, and 200 diamonds, respectively.

Abandoned Wagons

These tiles offer an extra hero to aid the player in the AFK Arena Arcane Labyrinth. The heroes are reset every 48 hours. The first floor has four wagons, the second has three, and the third has two. The level and tier of the heroes in the wagons are similar to the player’s own heroes.

Fountain of Vitality

Selecting this tile heals all living heroes by 50% of their HP.

Mystic

When a player selects this tile, the game revives one of their fallen heroes. If no heroes have died, the most injured hero is healed to full HP.

The Roamer

This tile features a traveling salesman from whom players can buy items with diamonds. The first three items are always equippable gear sold at full price, and the fourth can be any item or consumable at 40% off.

Hard Mode

Dark Wagon – Corrupted Hero

The player has to defeat a high-level, high-tier playable hero, who will then join them for the rest of the floor. It is often advised to skip the Dark Wagon tile because it offers little benefit for how hard it is.

Cave of Treasures – Wrizz

AFK Arena Arcane Labyrinth Cave of Treasures - Wrizz

The player can fight Wrizz, who is very strong. If the player doesn’t defeat him in one try, he will escape, and the player cannot fight him again until the next reset. If the player defeats him, they’ll get one of these rewards: 3000 guild coins, 10000 gladiator coins, or 3000 labyrinth tokens. The reward is random.

AFK Arena Arcane Labyrinth Guide: Relics

AFK Arena Arcane Labyrinth Relics

In the AFK Arena Arcane Labyrinth, relics are powerful artifacts that strengthen heroes and aid players in progressing through the challenges. After defeating enemies on the tiles, players can collect one of three types of relics. These relics offer various effects, such as healing, stat boosts, or debuffing opponents. Relics apply their effects to all heroes unless stated otherwise in the relic’s description. They are exclusive to the AFK Arena Arcane Labyrinth and disappear when the Labyrinth resets.

Relics are categorized into three tiers: Rare (blue), Epic (purple), and Legendary (orange). The higher the rarity, the more potent the relic. Relic attributes can be stacked, but the stacking mechanics vary between relics. The base attributes of a relic are determined by its tier quality.

Deathly Embrace (Legendary)

This relic kills enemies instantly if their HP falls below 15%, bypassing immunities and helping defeat enemies that regenerate health.

Spider Thread Gloves (Legendary)

Disables enemies for 5 seconds at the start of battle, preventing assassin heroes from teleporting behind the player’s lines and redirecting area-effect damage.

Pendant of Force (Legendary)

Lowers enemy HP by 35% at the start of battle, slowly restoring it over the next 10 seconds. This relic is particularly useful if the player has a strong burst DPS hero.

Pendant of Betrayal (Legendary)

If an enemy takes damage in the first 10 seconds of the battle, all other enemies receive 15% of that damage. This relic is highly effective when paired with area DPS heroes.

Moonstone and Sunstone (Epic)

Moonstone boosts HP recovery when a hero’s energy is above 50%, while Sunstone boosts energy recovery when HP is above 50%. When both are equipped, they double the rate of energy and health recovery.

Firebringer and Icebringer (Epic)

Firebringer gives heroes a chance to reduce the attack ratings of enemies they damage, while Icebringer reduces enemies’ defense ratings. Together, they provide a chance to increase the hero’s attack or defense rating during attacks.

Poisonous Embrace (Epic)

Grants normal attacks a chance to poison enemies, with poison effects stacking over time, making this relic useful for prolonged battles against resilient enemies.

Praetorian Helmet (Legendary/Epic/Rare)

Reduces the damage heroes take by 25%, 15%, or 10%, depending on the rarity. It increases team survivability, especially during early battles or boss encounters.

Other relics may be more situational, with their effectiveness varying depending on the player’s faction or hero lineup.

AFK Arena Arcane Labyrinth Guide: Dura’s Tears

AFK Arena Arcane Labyrinth Dura's Tears

Dura’s Tears are powerful items used exclusively within the AFK Arena Arcane Labyrinth to revive fallen heroes. When activated, a Dura’s Tear immediately revives all dead heroes on the player’s team and fully restores their HP and energy, regardless of whether they were revived or still alive.

Players can acquire Dura’s Tears from the weekly quest chest by earning 20, 60, and 100 activity points. While Dura’s Tears are incredibly valuable, they should be used wisely. In the normal AFK Arena Arcane Labyrinth, there is no limit to the use of Dura’s Tears, allowing players to revive their heroes as needed. However, in the Dismal Maze, players are limited to using only 3 Dura’s Tears per run.

This limitation, combined with the increased difficulty and faction restrictions in the Dismal Maze, means players must carefully manage their resources. Running out of usable heroes can make it difficult to complete a run, so players must weigh the importance of finishing an event and earning rewards against the need to preserve Dura’s Tears for tougher encounters.

AFK Arena Arcane Labyrinth Guide: Tips and Tricks

When building your team for the AFK Arena Arcane Labyrinth, keeping your heroes alive is essential since they don’t heal automatically between fights. A well-balanced team should consist of one healer, one tank, and either one DPS (damage dealer) and two CC (crowd control) heroes, or two DPS and one CC. For example, Nemora, Tasi, and Lucius make a solid core team. If you lack certain roles, focus on collecting support heroes to fill the gaps. Once you have a strong roster, prioritize defeating Flags to unlock Relic buffs that can further boost your team’s performance.

To maximize the effectiveness of your heroes, it’s crucial to activate their Ultimate abilities manually instead of relying on auto mode, preventing waste. Avoid using Ultimates unless necessary, and try to use them early in battle, then switch off auto mode to conserve energy and HP. The goal is to end each battle with full HP and Ultimates ready, if possible.

If your team is about to be defeated, pause the battle and restart or quit. This will reset your heroes to their pre-fight state, with full HP and energy, giving you the opportunity to adjust your formation or swap out heroes for better faction advantages.

When facing tough opponents, consider using your second-best formation to weaken them before finishing them off with your strongest team. If you’re short on heroes, mercenaries can help round out your roster. As you progress through the AFK Arena Arcane Labyrinth, prioritize paths with Red Flags, then Brown Flags, followed by Heroes and Fountains. Red Flags are especially important for maximizing Lab coins, which are essential for progression. If you have to choose between a 4 Red/4 Brown path and a 5 Red/0 Brown/3 Hero path, the 4 Red/4 Brown route is typically better, as it offers more opportunities to acquire Relics. Always check the heroes in the chest before making a move to ensure you’re making the best decision.

When selecting Relics, focus on those that benefit your primary carry or damage dealer, or favor the factions with 3+ heroes in your team to maximize their effectiveness. Use Dura’s Tears sparingly; they should only be activated when both your primary and secondary formations have been wiped out, ensuring you preserve them for critical moments.

Enter Hard Mode only if you’ve secured strong Relics and additional heroes early on, or if you feel you’re unable to defeat the normal mode 3rd-floor boss. If you don’t have much to lose, there’s no harm in trying. Wrizz, while difficult, can be defeated with any team, but Shemira makes the fight significantly easier. Her Ultimate at the start of the battle can quickly weaken enemies. After completing the first floor, you’ll have a better sense of what you need to beat Wrizz. If you don’t receive strong Relics, focus on exploiting any weaknesses your team can manage.

Lastly, skipping fights by choosing options like Fountains can cost you some rewards, but it’s a faster way for less experienced players to complete the Dismal Labyrinth and still gain substantial rewards.

AFK Arena Arcane Labyrinth Guide: Conclusion

The AFK Arena Arcane Labyrinth is a dynamic and rewarding game mode that challenges players through three progressively difficult floors. Players battle enemies, collect powerful relics, and earn Labyrinth Tokens to purchase valuable items and heroes from the Labyrinth Store. To succeed, players must be strategic, carefully managing team composition, relic choices, and path selection. Balancing risk and reward are crucial, as players need to decide whether to take on tougher battles for better relics or choose easier paths to conserve resources.

The AFK Arena Arcane Labyrinth offers different difficulty levels, including Hard Mode and the Dismal Maze, each bringing unique challenges. Hard Mode features stronger enemies and special encounters, while the Dismal Maze limits hero choices, introduces debuffs, and restricts the use of Dura’s Tears, requiring players to adjust their strategies. Success in the AFK Arena Arcane Labyrinth demands a blend of skill, strategy, and luck. By mastering its mechanics, building effective teams, and making smart decisions, players can navigate the Labyrinth’s challenges and claim the rewards that await.
