Hero Wars Alliance Iris Guide

Introduction

Hero Wars Alliance Iris Guide

Hero Wars Alliance Iris Guide will walk you through everything you need to know about Iris!

Iris is a mage hero in the Way of Eternity faction in Hero Wars Alliance. She is a versatile hero known for her unique blend of offensive and defensive abilities.

To reach her maximum effect, Iris needs many buffs and debuffs. Even though she only has one skill that can do damage, Inner Fire, this might be enough to beat many teams. Each time a debuff is activated for the enemy team, this skill is activated, causing damage over time.

“A talented and daring mage who constantly expands her unique collections: imprisoned in her tome are demons of all stripes. But she has yet to attain the crown jewel of her menagerie: Iris hunts the soul of the mighty Archdemon with her familiar, a little demon called Bitey, who is bound by a deal that allows him to escape a less fortunate fate.”

Iris’s characteristics are as follows: her main stat is Intelligence, her attack type is Magical, and her role is Mage. She belongs to the Way of Eternity faction and is positioned in the middle line. Her stone source is Special Event, and her maximum power is 177,217.

Iris’s max hero stats include Intelligence: 15,942, Agility: 2,944, Strength: 2,740, Health: 461,761, Physical Attack: 24,928, Magic Attack: 121,917, Armor: 28,777, Magic Defense: 53,327, and Magic Penetration: 34,100.

Iris Skills

Hero Wars Alliance Iris Skills

Skills are the unique abilities of each hero. As a mage, Iris starts the battle with 347 energy and gains an additional 99 energy when using any ability other than the first one and regular attacks. The timing of these skills is integral in Campaign, Arena, and Grand Arena battles, and some heroes may perform better in certain battle types based on the activation time of their skills. Iris has four skills.

Soul Burning: Iris gains Pure Soul charges for each buffed ally and each debuffed enemy. She damages all enemies depending on the amount of Pure Soul charges stored, then executes the ones at low health. More magic attack results in more execution damage. The animation delay is 0.88 seconds, with a base damage of 60767 (40% Magic attack + 12000). The damage per Pure Soul charge is 6696 (5% Magic attack + 600), and the execution health threshold is 60767 (40% Magic attack + 12000).

Otherworldly Creature: Iris releases her familiar Bitey, who weakens enemies by lowering their Magic Defense for 5 seconds. Bitey prolongs the duration of any debuffs, both those already active and those inflicted during the effect of the skill, by 5 seconds. The skill’s keywords are debuff, and its initial cooldown is 1 second, with a cooldown of 10 seconds. The animation delay is 1 second, and the temporary Magic Defense reduction is 26183 (20% Magic attack + 1800).

Mysterious Pact: Iris becomes permanently immune to debuffs. If an enemy applies a debuff or a mark to an ally, Iris lowers their Physical and Magic Attack for 7 seconds. The keywords are debuff. The temporary Physical Attack reduction is 14592 (10% Magic attack + 2400), and the temporary Magic Attack reduction is 14592 (10% Magic attack + 2400).

Inner Fire: Whenever a debuff is applied to an enemy, Iris burns them with an Inner Fire charge, dealing damage over time while the debuff is active. A charge deals double damage if the debuff was applied by an Eternity Hero. The cooldown is 13 seconds, and the animation delay is 0.88 seconds. The skill deals 7296 (5% Magic attack + 1200) damage per second for each Inner Fire charge.

The hero skills are based on a maxed level skill on a maxed hero.

Iris Talismans

Talismans provide stat boosts, and Iris has two talismans: the Talisman of Collector and the Talisman of Erudition. With a talisman, Iris will gain more magical defense and magical attack stats, making her damage more aggressive.

The Talisman of Collector leans towards enhancing Iris’s defense and utility. It enhances Iris’s debuffing abilities and strengthens her Punishment and Buff effects on enemies, making it ideal for situations requiring survivability and strategic control. The main stat is Intelligence (+2000), which boosts magic attack and magic defense. The secondary attribute increases magic defense further, making Iris more resistant to magical threats. The slot attributes and maximum points include Magic Defense (+6600) in all three slots.

The Talisman of Erudition is primarily offensive, designed to amplify Iris’s ability to pierce through enemy defenses and maximize her damage output. The synergy of the Erudition Talisman becomes particularly potent when paired with heroes like Nebula, who significantly increases magic attack. Combining Nebula’s buffs with the enhanced magic penetration from this talisman can lead to devastating attacks against enemies. The primary attribute grants 12,000 armor, providing Iris with a solid defensive boost. The magic penetration slots feature three slots, each capable of reaching up to 6,600 magic penetration, resulting in a combined potential of 19,800 magic penetration.

When choosing a talisman, it is important to consider what will be most helpful for your team. If the goal is to maximize damage output, the Erudition Talisman is the better choice, especially when used in synergy with heroes like Nebula. However, for defensive strategies or battles against magic-heavy teams, the Collector’s Talisman might be more suitable. With more magical defense and magical attack, Iris will have a lot of resistance against any mage who does not have magical penetration, becoming even stronger against teams of mages like Satori and Xe’sha.

Iris Hero Sets

Hero sets provide stat bonuses for Iris. These include Intelligence +759, Agility +734, Strength +655, Health +20130, Physical Attack +3048, Magic Attack +3671, Armor +2038, and Magic Defense +2588.

Stats Evolution Priority

It is important to develop Iris’s stats in the correct order. The priority for Iris’s glyphs is Magic Attack first, followed by Intelligence, Health, Magic Penetration, and finally Magic Defense. For Iris’s artifacts, the priority is the Book, Tome of Arcane Knowledge, which increases Magic Attack and Health, followed by the Weapon, Tome of Enslaved Souls, which increases Magic Attack, and then the Ring of Intelligence, which increases Intelligence. When it comes to Iris’s skins, it is crucial to invest in them in the correct order to avoid stat caps or a lopsided hero. The skin priority is Super Skin for Magic Attack first, followed by Magic Attack, Intelligence, Health, and finally Armor.

Iris Skins Priority

Hero Wars Alliance Iris Skins

Skins allow you to super boost key attributes and help fix heroes with imbalanced stats. It is very important to invest in the skins in the correct order as you invest in the glyphs to prevent running into stat caps or building a lopsided-developed hero.

For Iris, the recommended skin priority is as follows: first, invest in the Stellar+ Magic Attack skin, followed by the Masquerade Health skin. Then, prioritize the Beach Magic Attack skin, the Default Intelligence skin, and finally, the Cybernetic Armor skin.

For the mobile version of Hero Wars, the Stellar PLUS Skin should be the first skin to invest in for Iris. Ideally, get it to Level 40 before leveling the next skin, with a recommended final level of 60.

Until you gain a better understanding of how to enhance heroes, always start with attack and health. Prioritize attack first, followed by health, then penetration, and finally armor. In the beginning, focus on giving skins to damage dealers, such as AOEs or marksmen.

Best Iris Teams

With the right allies, Iris becomes a force. She is especially effective against teams featuring Satori, the twins Krista and Lars, and Yasmine. Iris’s abilities and synergies make her a versatile and powerful character.

When building a team, it is important to consider Iris’s need for buffs and debuffs to maximize her potential. Combining her with heroes from her faction, Way of Eternity, can make her highly effective.

Some of the best teams with Iris include:

A balanced team with Octavia, Iris, Morrigan, Dante, and Corvus combines crowd control, damage, and support. Octavia and Dante provide physical damage, while Morrigan and Corvus offer healing and control. Iris contributes healing and protection, keeping the team healthy during combat.

Another team, Octavia, Iris, Nebula, Dante, and Corvus, maximizes Iris’s magical damage, with Nebula boosting Iris and Dante’s attack power. Octavia provides support with dodge, while Corvus adds crowd control and damage.

A third option, Octavia, Lian, Iris, Nebula, and Dante, focuses on dealing fast physical damage. Lian and Iris lead the attack, while Nebula increases their damage output. Octavia provides support with evasion, making the team more resilient during battles.

The team Phobos, Faceless, Iris, Morrigan, and Corvus combines crowd control and magical damage. Phobos and Faceless keep enemies under control, while Morrigan and Corvus protect the team. Iris offers additional damage, making the team overpowered.

Phobos, Cornelius, Iris, Morrigan, and Corvus is a team focused on magical damage, leveraging Phobos and Iris’s abilities. Cornelius and Corvus provide crowd control, while Morrigan offers support with healing and protection.

Dorian, Phobos, Iris, Morrigan, and Corvus is especially resilient, with Dorian providing additional healing with vampirism. Phobos and Corvus keep enemies under control, while Iris deals significant damage. Morrigan contributes healing and protection.

Another balanced team is Dorian, Iris, Morrigan, Dante, and Corvus, combining damage, control, and support. Dorian offers additional healing and a physical damage boost, while Iris and Dante wreak havoc on enemies. Morrigan keeps the team healthy, and Corvus adds crowd control and damage.

Fafnir, Iris, Morrigan, Keira, and Corvus focuses on physical and magical damage, with Iris and Keira leading the attack. Morrigan provides support with healing and protection, while Morrigan and Corvus offer magical damage and control.

Phobos, Iris, Morrigan, Dante, and Corvus form an aggressive team that focuses on dealing fast damage and controlling the battlefield. Phobos and Corvus keep enemies under control, allowing Iris and Dante to wreak havoc. Morrigan offers additional support, keeping the team healthy.

Iris, Morrigan, Keira, Dante, and Corvus is a team with a strong focus on physical damage, with Keira and Dante leading the attack. Morrigan provides support with healing and protection, while Morrigan and Corvus offer damage and control.

Aurora/Astaroth, Celeste, Nebula, Iris, and Martha form a classic Iris-based team with huge damage, good survivability, and strong performance against most teams.

Aurora/Astaroth, Celeste, Nebula, Iris, and Dorian, which replaces Martha with Dorian, increases Iris’s survivability. This team is effective against teams with occasional damage or when Martha is on another team in the Grand Arena.

Aurora/Astaroth, Celeste, Iris, Lian, and Martha is another option without Nebula but with Lian’s pure damage. It shows great results against a team without Sebastian.

Aurora/Astaroth, Arachna, Celeste, Iris, and Leanne form a defensive team option without a healer.

Aurora, Celeste, Isaak, Iris, and Martha is another possible combination.

Finally, Phobos, Faceless, Iris, Morrigan, and Corvus combine buffs and debuffs from heroes in Iris’s faction, making her highly effective. Corvus’s ultimate, Strike of the Damned, provides a debuff that reduces magic defense, while his second skill, Unity of the Damned, increases Iris’s magic attack. Morrigan’s Bone Armor summons skeletons and adds Pure Charges to Iris. Phobos’s skills, Paralysis and Dreaded Shadow, reduce magic defense, complementing Iris’s skill, Otherworldly Creature (Bitey). Faceless provides magic penetration with his ultimate and magic defense to the team with his fourth skill, Spell Expert, and his third skill, Chain Lightning, serves as a debuff.

The effectiveness of these compositions may vary depending on the level of development of the heroes, specific abilities, and battle conditions. Experiment with different combinations and adjust your strategy as needed to find the team that best suits your playstyle and the situations you face.

Iris vs Hydra

Iris can be used against hydras, as she is immune to debuffs applied by hydras. While hydras are immune to debuffs, they still apply debuffs of their own, including Fire, Darkness, and Light. Despite Iris’s immunity to these debuffs, she is not often used in Hydra battles, and so far, there is no meta team with her that can counter any Hydra effectively.

How to Counter Iris

Iris is strong against Krista, Lars, Jet, Dante, Faceless, Cornelius, Isaac, Phobos, Lilith, Satori, Yasmine, Dorian, Thea, Mojo, Dark Star, and Corvus (when Dorian’s vampirism is active).

To counter Iris, Lian’s 4th skill, Conciliation, is triggered by Iris’s attacks, charming Iris for almost the entire fight with each attack and slowing her down, preventing her from benefiting from the team’s buffs and debuffs. Aurora absorbs most of the magic damage (up to 80%) with her 4th skill, Rainbow Halo, and damages nearby enemies when the shield explodes. Amira blocks magic damage under 62,141 with her 3rd skill, Genie’s Patronage, preventing Iris from doing damage over time with her 4th skill, Inner Fire. Amira’s artifact weapon also provides an additional magic defense buff to her team.

Julius casts a shield with his 1st skill, Meowsterpiece of Defense, that absorbs any damage. When the shield is destroyed, he removes all debuffs with his 3rd skill, Nine-Lives Engine, and provides magic defense and armor to his teammates. Corvus’s altar can kill Iris almost immediately when activated, as Iris begins to burn the enemy team.

Alvanor helps all allies take decreased damage from basic attacks with his 4th skill, Rune of Earth. Judge can cast a shield that absorbs all damage with his 2nd skill, Force Field. Dante’s 4th skill, Shackles of Weakness, can decrease Iris’s main stat for 7 seconds. Lilith can decrease the magic defense of central team enemies for 8 seconds with her 3rd skill, Fire Breath. Rufus is the only tank that Iris cannot kill because her damage is mostly pure.

Some of the best Iris counter teams are Jet, Dorian, Keira, Andvari, and Galahad; Fafnir, Dorian, Keira, Andvari, and Corvus; Jet, Dorian, Xe’Sha, Tristan, and Corvus; Helios, Faceless, Amira, and Jorgen; Cleaver, Fafnir, Dorian, Keira, and Andvari; Aurora, Jet, Sebastian, Keira, Dante, Corvus, and Martha; and Lars, Nebula, Krista, and Astaroth.

Iris in Battles

Iris is a versatile hero, known for her unique blend of offensive and defensive abilities. Her skills allow her to deal massive damage, apply debuffs, and support her team by countering specific heroes and strategies. With the right allies, Iris becomes a force, especially against teams featuring Satori, the twins Krista and Lars, and Yasmine.

Iris is strong against Krista, Lars, Jet, Dante, Faceless, Cornelius, Isaac, Phobos, Lilith, Satori, Yasmine, Dorian, Thea, Mojo, Dark Star, and Corvus (when Dorian’s vampirism is active).

Iris counters Octavia, Corvus, Amira, Celeste, Nebula, Rufus, Satori (when Celeste is included), Fafnir, and Phobos.

Iris’s Talismans Overview

Iris will gain more magical defense and magical attack stats with the talisman, making her damage more aggressive against her Hero Wars Alliance enemies. Therefore, with more magical defense and magical attack, Iris will have a lot of resistance against any mage who does not have magical penetration, becoming even stronger against teams of mages like twins Satori and Xe’sha.

The Erudition Talisman is the newest and most challenging to obtain from the event, significantly enhancing Iris’s magic penetration. This improvement allows her to deal greater damage, making her an even more formidable force on the battlefield. The talisman is primarily offensive, designed to amplify Iris’s ability to pierce through enemy defenses and maximize her damage output. Its primary attribute grants 12,000 armor, providing Iris with a solid defensive boost.

The magic penetration slots feature three slots, each capable of reaching up to 6,600 magic penetration, resulting in a combined potential of 19,800 magic penetration. The synergy of the Erudition Talisman becomes particularly potent when paired with heroes like Nebula, who significantly increases magic attack. Combining Nebula’s buffs with the enhanced magic penetration from this talisman can lead to devastating attacks against enemies.

The Collector’s Talisman offers more balanced attributes, focusing on defense and utility. It enhances Iris’s debuffing abilities and strengthens her Punishment and Buff effects on enemies, making it ideal for situations requiring survivability and strategic control. Its primary attribute provides intelligence, boosting magic attack and magic defense. The secondary attribute increases magic defense further, making Iris more resistant to magical threats.

While the Collector’s Talisman leans towards enhancing Iris’s defense and utility, the Erudition Talisman is a game-changer for offense. For defensive strategies or battles against magic-heavy teams, the Collector’s Talisman might be more suitable. However, if looking to maximize damage output, the Erudition Talisman is the clear choice, especially when used in synergy with heroes like Nebula.

The Erudition Talisman has proven to be a powerful addition to Iris’s arsenal, especially in offensive-focused teams. It allows Iris to excel in dealing damage, making her a key player in any high-damage composition, and combining her with support heroes that boost her magic attack further enhances her potential. The Collector’s Talisman, on the other hand, remains a strong option for more defensive or balanced setups, offering better survivability and control over the battlefield.

She works well with heroes like Dante, Tempus, Octavia, and Nebula, who amplify her damage and control abilities. The Erudition Talisman enhances magic penetration for greater damage, while the Collector’s Talisman boosts defense and utility.
