At the Friendly trust level, players will receive [Polychrome] x20, a valuable in-game resource. Additionally, you will be able to invite Qingyi to manage your business through Random Play every day. Upon completing this daily task, you will earn [Basic Shock Chip], further contributing to your progress. Reaching this level signifies a good initial rapport with Qingyi, making it easier to build further trust.

Once you reach the Close trust level, you will earn [Polychrome] x30, which is an even greater reward. At this point, you unlock the Agent-exclusive Resonium, a special item that can be activated randomly on the [Frontline Outpost] tile in Hollow Zero. Some choices will yield a Significant Trust increase, offering a direct boost to your relationship with Qingyi.

One such event, Off-Duty Mode, is particularly important. In this event, you will find Qingyi waiting at the entrance of Box Galaxy, a location known for its lively atmosphere. The event consists of four distinct dialog choices, each offering a different way to interact with Qingyi.

Lumina Square – Dew: Qingyi chats with Orchidea in Lumina Square. This event has five dialogs.

Gravity Cinema: Qingyi stands outside the cinema. This event has four dialogs, with a trust increase gained by selecting the option “Qingyi… are you inside a Bangboo?.”

Lumina Galleria: Qingyi is standing in front of the Galleria with two other N.E.P.S. agents. This event offers three dialogs, and selecting “Qingyi really is a fantastic mentor-figure.” grants a trust increase.

Metro Station: Qingyi is with Officer Mewmew and a police dog. This event has five dialogs, with a trust increase gained from the option “Eugene just said “That’s not true!”.”

God Finger: Qingyi is at the arcade entrance. This event, available at the “Friendly” trust level, has six dialogs. A trust increase is granted regardless of your choice in the fourth dialog.

Random Play: Qingyi is looking at the video store’s showcase. This event has six dialogs, and choosing the sixth dialog option “…You can come inside and chat, too.” gives a trust increase.

Turbo: Qingyi is conversing with Enzo at the remodeling shop entrance. This event, available at the “Friendly” trust level, has three dialogs. A trust increase is earned by selecting the third option, “Changing hairstyles must be easy for you!.”

In “The Case of a Missing Bangboo,” Public Security introduces a new peer-to-peer service aimed at dismantling the Inter-Knot. The player character takes on the role of an assistant to Qingyi, a Public Security officer, to help with the investigation. The story begins when Qingyi, in autopilot mode, knocks on the player’s door to explain the community service initiative. Qingyi, who is watching the horror movie Endbringer 2, discusses her analysis of human behavior through films and mentions her interest in horror genres. The player is introduced to Officer Juyuan’s strategy of guiding, rather than blocking, to address issues with the Internaut.

The plot progresses when a little girl named Holly asks for help in locating her missing friend, Teddy, a Bangboo. Holly provides a description of Teddy, noting that he is 101 cm tall and wears a blue shark quy. Qingyi sketches Teddy based on the description and realizes Teddy is a Bangboo. Holly recalls last seeing him at the Gravity Cinema when he went to buy popcorn. The investigation takes the player and Qingyi to the parking lot adjacent to the cinema, where they find open snacks, an empty bottle, and an autograph poster as clues. After gathering the evidence, the player hands it over to Qingyi for analysis.

Based on the remnants of an old poster, Qingyi identifies a suspect vehicle potentially tied to Teddy’s disappearance. They find traces of highly active Etheric Matter on the rear wheels of the vehicle. To further the investigation, Qingyi posts a Bangboo rescue commission on Internaut, calling for help from proxies in the T8 a32 area of Ceton Hollow. Phaethon responds to the job, recognizing Qingyi’s post, and agrees to assist her in tracking the vehicle’s movements inside the Hollow.

During the investigation in the Hollow, they detect high ether activity emanating from a forklift. They encounter Bing Bong, who explains the use of a concentrated ether solution to corrupt Bangboos. As they continue, EOS is damaged by the ether spray, affecting its data collection module and further complicating the mission.

The Rescue Mission

In “The Case of a Missing Bangboo,” the rescue mission begins with Qingyi posting a Bangboo rescue commission on Internaut, seeking help from proxies located in the T8 a32 area of Ceton Hollow. This online call for assistance ensures that the necessary resources are available to aid in tracking down the missing Bangboo, Teddy.

During the mission, Qingyi meets Phaethon, who recognizes her post and agrees to assist. Qingyi requests Phaethon’s help navigating through the Hollow to track down a vehicle potentially linked to the disappearance. The mission takes them deeper into the Hollow, where they detect high ether activity coming from a forklift. This discovery leads to an encounter with Bing Bong, who reveals that concentrated ether solution is being used to corrupt Bangboos. Qingyi and the team utilize an emergency signal device taken from a Bangboo to track down targets, as any Bangboo would be drawn to its signal.

As the team presses forward, EOS, the data collection system, is severely damaged by the ether spray, causing its data collection module to be 87% damaged. Qingyi proposes a solution using distributed computing technology, suggesting that she can install EOS’s functions onto her system to restore its capabilities. This risky procedure would allow Qingyi to access the search functions of the Hollow, but it also exposes her to the potential side effect of EOS’s ether corruption. Nonetheless, the team moves forward with the plan, syncing Qingyi with EOS’s data to facilitate their search.

The investigation takes a turn when a secret passage is discovered, and a shark Boo is found. Though the shark Boo is not Teddy, it plays a key role in activating the hidden passage. The team then encounters a thug patrolling the area, distracted by a movie. Additional scans reveal a non-corrupted, conscious avocabo that attempts to play dead but inadvertently exposes itself in its panic. The team uses Electra, who shocks the door lock with high voltage, making further progress in the rescue mission.

Saving Teddy and Aftermath

The rescue of Teddy reaches a turning point when the team identifies him among the stolen Bangboos. Teddy is recognized by a distinct nick on his ear, which he received while protecting Holly, as well as glue on his bottom. After this identification, the team confronts the thugs responsible for the abduction. Despite the thugs’ resistance, the team presses forward, with the Electra assisting by creating an escape route. The thugs’ leader proves to be a formidable opponent—stronger and more intelligent than the others. Notably, the gloves worn by the boss, which were used to handle the Electra, are found to be scorched, leaving behind crucial fingerprints that link him to three ongoing criminal investigations.

As the team pushes through, the Electra makes a final sacrifice, converting its remaining strength into electricity to create an entrance, allowing the team to continue their mission. They eventually reach the secret passage where Teddy is located, and the team defeats a minor threat (the “0.73% guy”) standing in their way. The rescue is successful, and the team secures Teddy, making their way toward the Hollow exit.

In the aftermath, Teddy is repaired and reunited with Holly, bringing a sense of relief to the group. Meanwhile, EOS undergoes maintenance and recovers, feeling even more capable than before. Jan expresses concern over the recklessness of the mission, reminding everyone of the risks involved. EOS, reflecting on the experience, comes to understand the weight of life and the significance of humans, realizing that intelligent machines are not mere tools to be discarded.
