Introduction

The Genshin Impact 5.4 Patch Notes bring exciting new content, including fresh characters, events, and gameplay adjustments. This update offers new areas to explore, balance changes, and limited-time challenges. Here’s a look at everything coming in Genshin Impact 5.4!

I. New Character

New Character: Yumemizuki Mizuki (Anemo)

5-Star Character – Embrace of Enchanting Dreams

Vision: Anemo
Weapon: Catalyst
Role: Shareholder of Aisa Bathhouse, a baku, and a clinical psychologist devoted to dispelling nightmares and bringing peace of mind.

Abilities

Elemental Skill – Aisa Utamakura Pilgrimage
Enters the Dreamdrifter state, floating above the ground while continuously moving forward. In this state, Mizuki deals AoE Anemo DMG at intervals and boosts Swirl DMG for nearby allies. The effect ends when she leaves the field or recasts her Skill.

Elemental Burst – Anraku Secret Spring Therapy
Pulls in enemies and objects, dealing AoE Anemo DMG and summoning a Mini Baku that follows the active character. The Mini Baku periodically creates Snacks near enemies or allies. When picked up, Snacks either deal AoE Anemo DMG or heal based on the picker’s HP. Uncollected Snacks explode after a short time, dealing AoE Anemo DMG.

Availability: Yumemizuki Mizuki (Anemo) will join the standard wish Wanderlust Invocation in the next Version. For more information please click this link.

II. New Equipment

New Weapons (Refinement Rank 1 Examples)

Sunny Morning Sleep-In (5-Star Catalyst)

Effect: After triggering Swirl, increases Elemental Mastery by 120 for 6s.
When the wielder’s Elemental Skill hits an opponent, Elemental Mastery increases by 96 for 9s.
When the wielder’s Elemental Burst hits an opponent, Elemental Mastery increases by 32 for 30s.

Availability: The event-exclusive Sunny Morning Sleep-In (Catalyst) will have a significantly boosted drop rate during the Epitome Invocation event wish!

Tamayuratei no Ohanashi (4-Star Polearm)

Effect: Using an Elemental Skill increases ATK by 20% and Movement SPD by 10% for 10s.

Availability: Tamayuratei no Ohanashi (Polearm) and its refinement materials can be obtained from the Enchanted Tales of the Mikawa Festival event.

Yumemizuki Mizuki’s Story Quest – Tapirus Somniator Chapter: Act I
“Dream Eater’s Melancholia”

Availability: Permanently unlocked after the Version 5.4 update.

Adventure Rank 40 or higher
Complete Raiden Shogun’s Story Quest – Imperatrix Umbrosa Chapter: Act II “Transient Dreams”
Focused Experience Mode is available for this quest.

Story Quest Update:
Starting Version 5.4, Story Quests can be accepted directly from the Quest Menu and no longer require Story Keys (Hangout Events still require Story Keys).

- Floor 12: Swirl DMG +600% (First Half); Charged Attack Cryo DMG +75% (Second Half)
- Blessing: Stirring Moon – Healing triggers a shockwave dealing True DMG (every 3s)
Phase 2 (Mar 16):
- Floor 11: +75% Electro DMG Bonus
- Floor 12: Hydro Skill DMG +75% (First Half); Plunging Attack DMG +75% (Second Half)
- Blessing: Plunging Moon – Plunging Attacks trigger True DMG shockwave (every 3s)

Adjustments & Optimizations:

Story Quests no longer require Story Keys (Hangout Events still do)
New NPC “Cipac” in Stadium of the Sacred Flame sells “Saurus Crackers”
Improved camera angles for “Secret Source Automaton: Configuration Device”
New map features:
- Clicking “Spiral Abyss” or “Theater Lobby” auto-selects the location
- Quest hints added for Archon, Tribal Chronicles, and Story Quests
- Reward hints consolidated in “Map” UI
- Tracked Custom Markers now persist when zooming

Training Guide Enhancements:

“Level-Up Plans” added to track progress for Character Level, Weapons, and Talents
Enhancement-related improvements:
