AMBA & BGA Startup of the Year Finalist

We’ve got some big news to share — and a little story from London to go with it.

Earlier this year, Theria was shortlisted as a global finalist for Startup of the Year at the prestigious AMBA & BGA Excellence Awards 2025, held in the heart of London.

This event brings together the world’s most innovative startups founded by graduates of accredited business schools. Out of hundreds of nominees from across the globe, Theria was selected as one of eight finalists — the only games company in the mix.

And while we didn’t walk away with the top prize, we’re incredibly proud to say that Theria was named “Highly Commended” by the judges — an honour awarded to just two startups in the entire category.

“To be recognised on an international stage like this — for a gaming startup, no less — is genuinely surreal,” said Theria founder Charlie Greener. “We didn’t take home the trophy, but being Highly Commended puts us among the top emerging businesses globally, and that’s something to celebrate.”

What This Means to Us

Theria has always been about levelling the playing field — helping time-poor gamers get more from the games they love, and creating a space where guides, tools, and marketplaces come together.

To see that mission recognised by a panel of business leaders, investors, and academics is huge — not just for us, but for the future of gaming entrepreneurship.

The awards night was full of inspiring people and big ideas, and it’s pushed us to think even bigger about where we can take Theria next.
