Theria Supports Games for the Weans

This holiday season, Theria is stepping up to make a difference, and we’re inviting you to join us! As part of our festive celebrations, we’re launching a fundraiser for Games for the Weans, an incredible children’s charity that makes gaming accessible for kids undergoing treatment at the Glasgow Children’s Hospital.

For those unfamiliar, “weans” is a Scottish term for “children” – and this charity truly embodies the spirit of bringing joy to those who need it most, as children go through life changing treatment. They provide adapted gaming equipment, consoles, and games, giving children moments of fun and normalcy during challenging times.

How Theria is Supporting Games for the Weans

This December, Theria is giving back in several ways:

• All Theria Plus Revenue Donated: Everything we received from the Theria Plus Monthly subscriptions throughout December will go directly to Games for the Weans – and we’ll donate on a pro-rata basis (i.e. 1/12th) of the Theria Plus Annual plan.
• Community Fundraiser: We’ve set up a dedicated donation page where anyone can contribute directly to the cause.
• Matching Donations: Theria will match community donations up to $1,000, doubling the impact of your generosity!

Terms and Conditions:

Effective Date: December 1, 2024

Please read these terms and conditions carefully. By participating in Theria’s Games for the Weans fundraiser, you agree to the following terms.

1. Fundraiser Period

• The fundraiser runs from 12:00 AM on December 1, 2024, to 11:59 PM on December 31, 2024 (GMT).
• Only transactions and donations completed during this period will count towards the fundraiser.

2. Donations from Theria Plus Subscriptions

• For Theria Plus monthly subscriptions, 100% of the subscription fee collected during December 2024 will be donated to Games for the Weans.
• For Theria Plus annual subscriptions, 1/12th of the total annual fee collected during December 2024 will be donated to the fundraiser on a pro-rata basis.
• Subscription fees eligible for donation exclude taxes, fees, and refunds.

3. Matching Donations

• Theria will match community donations to the fundraiser up to a maximum of $1,000 USD.
• Only donations made through the official fundraising page or direct contributions tracked by Theria during the fundraiser period will qualify for matching.
• Matching funds will be calculated and transferred to Games for the Weans at the end of the fundraiser period.

4. Use of Funds

• All funds raised, including matched donations and Theria Plus revenue, will be donated directly to Games for the Weans.
• Theria is not responsible for how funds are allocated by the charity after donation.

5. Payment Processing

• Subscription fees and direct donations are processed via third-party payment providers.
• Any issues with payment processing should be addressed directly with the respective provider.

6. Refund Policy

• Donations made directly to the fundraiser are non-refundable.
• Refunds for Theria Plus subscriptions are subject to Theria’s standard refund policy, which may affect the amount donated to the charity.

7. Transparency

• Theria will publicly share the total amount raised, including matched donations, at the end of the fundraiser period.
• Individual contributions will remain confidential unless explicit consent is provided by the donor.

8. Disclaimer

• Participation in the fundraiser does not guarantee prizes or rewards unless otherwise specified in related promotional materials.
• Theria reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the fundraiser at any time without prior notice, including in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

9. Governing Law

• These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes arising from the fundraiser will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
