Grow a Garden Corrupted Event Update: All You Need to Know!
Get ready, Gardeners! The Corrupted event has officially gone live in Roblox: Grow a Garden, bringing a wave of exciting new content including new seeds, pets, and fresh quests to enhance your farming adventure.

This update builds upon the existing Zen Garden experience, now introducing both a Zen and a Corrupted side to explore.
Before diving into the core of the Corrupted event, many of you might have witnessed the special pre-update appearance of celebrity guest, Travis Kelce. The official Roblox X page even teased Travis Kelce’s garden, making it clear that players should jump into the game immediately to avoid missing out on this unique item.

This event, overseen by Jandel during what was humorously referred to as ‘admin abuse’, offered an exclusive reward to those present: Some new exclusive weather events like Route Runner, Lightning Storm, and Post Dunk. As well as exclusive Crop mutations like, Subzero, Blitzshock, and Touchdown”. Jandel also introduce an all-new Admin event that gives the “Jackpot Mutation” to crops.
Before concluding the much awaited ‘Admin-abuse’, Travis Kelce surprised all active players with an exclusive seed and pet; the Fruitball Seed and the Football pet.
Corrupted Update: Event Mechanics and Quests
The Corrupted event introduces new ways to interact with your garden and earn rewards:
Corrupt Channeler NPC
Located on the left side of the map, this NPC operates on a quest system similar to the angry plant event. You’ll need to provide specific tranquil plants (e.g., tranquil bamboo, tranquil orange tulip, tranquil tomato, blueberry) that meet certain weight requirements.
The Corrupt Channeler will always ask for tranquil plants, not corrupted ones, which are harder to get. Completing these quests rewards you with ‘corruption’ spread during the next Zen aura, Zen eggs, Chi, tranquil staff, corrupt staff, Corrupted Kodama, and the Enkaku seed. You can also pay Robux to skip requirements.
Kitsune NPC
Kitsune NPC is central to obtaining new seeds and pets through chests. To earn a Kitsune chest, you must turn in five corrupted plants and five tranquil plants.
Corruption Resets
The corruption tree and corruptions reset back to zero every hour. However, any corruptions you’ve unlocked as rewards for the Zen aura are retained.
New Seeds in the Garden!
The Corrupted event introduces six brand-new seeds to discover. While there are no new seed packs, these seeds are obtainable through quests or direct purchases. Here’s how you can find them and what they offer:
Sakura Bush
Obtainable from the Zen Shop. It’s a multiple-harvest crop with an average sell price of 37,000.
Dezen
Found by opening Kitsune boxes. This is a single-harvest type with an average sell price of 29,000.
Lucky Bamboo
Also found in Kitsune boxes. It’s a single-harvest type with a high average sell price of 110,000. Interestingly, it might be the first multi-use bamboo in the game according to some players, selling for around $58,000 to $60,000 for a 6kg one. It has a 14% chance of dropping from the Kitsune chest.
Enkaku
Obtainable from the Corrupt Channeler NPC. Its average sell price is 77,000, and it’s a multiple-harvest crop. Information about this seed is still being gathered, with some players unable to acquire it yet.
Tranquil Bloom
Found in Kitsune boxes. This is a multiple-harvest type, though its average sell price isn’t listed directly in the table.
Elder Strawberry
Available in the Seed Shop. It’s a multiple-harvest crop with an average sell price of 81,000.
While they add variety, if you already possess top-tier seeds like Candy Blossom and Bone Blossom, you might consider skipping them for purely profit-driven reasons. However, for collectors aiming to gather every unique plant, these new additions are definitely worth pursuing.
Exciting New Pets!
The Corrupted event also brings a selection of new pets to aid you in your gardening endeavors:
Raiju
This new pet is available from the Zen Shop and costs 350 Chi coins or 750 Robux. Its passive ability allows it to devour a fruit with a ‘shocked’ mutation every 10 minutes for 1.5x sheckle value, summoning a chain of lightning to mutate 4.35 fruits with ‘static’, with a 20.35% chance for ‘shock’ during a thunderstorm. It also gives the new ‘Static’ mutation.
Maneki-Neku
Obtainable from Kitsune chests. This uncommon pet has a passive ability that, every 2 minutes and 20 seconds, grants an 8.61% chance to refund fruit back to your inventory for 11.02 seconds, with a rare chance for rare fruits to refund.
Kodama
A Legendary pet also found in Kitsune chests. It offers a 4.48% chance for Zen-type fruits to get the ‘tranquil’ mutation after collection.
Corrupted Kitsune
This Prismatic pet is also found in Kitsune chests and is considered a highly sought-after item with a 1% chance of obtaining it.
Other pets that were introduced in the new event are: Corrupted Kodama and a Footbal pet.
Other Notable Additions
Beyond seeds and pets, the update brings more new items to the game:
- Corrupt Radar: Available in the Zen shop, this functions like the tranquil radar, allowing you to collect all corrupted fruits in your vicinity by highlighting and picking them up.
- Corrupt Pet Shard: Found in the Zen shop, this shard applies the ‘corrupted mutation’ to your pets. Your pet needs to be age 50 or above to apply it.
- Corrupted Staff: You can obtain this from the Corrupt Channeler’s loot table. It has five charges and helps you get more corrupted mutations.
- Corrupted Zen Crate: This is a new cosmetic item, available as a reward from the Corrupt Channeler’s loot table.
- Mounted Katanas: A new cosmetic item that players are finding very cool.
The Zen event has not left the game; you can still upgrade your Zen tree and access the Zen shop as before.
This update, while perhaps not the largest in terms of new assets (some pets like the Corrupted Kitsune are retextured versions of existing ones), introduces significant new mechanics and items to keep your garden growing. The developers are working hard despite test server challenges and frequent resets.
Stay tuned for the trading update coming next week, which is expected to be a big one! Happy gardening!
