AFK Arena Drez, “The Quicksand Recluse,” is a Mauler hero who defies his Durri roots with lethal skill and survival instincts. A solitary hunter shaped by loss and betrayal, he excels as an Agility-based burst damage Ranger. His kit combines precise strikes, energy recovery, and survivability, with abilities that boost crits, reduce enemy defenses, and grant shields. Deadly Ambush

At level 1, Drez gains the ability Deadly Ambush, which causes him to instantly move to the weakest enemy; for the following 15 seconds, he prioritizes pursuing that enemy, during which his Normal Melee Attacks become stronger and his Crit Rating is increased by 100%.

At level 81, if the target dies during this time, 400 energy is restored.

At level 161, if the target dies during this time, the energy restored increases to 700.

Bloody Evisceration

At level 11, Drez gains the ability Bloody Evisceration, where he spins in a full circle, dealing 210% damage to nearby enemies and reducing their Defense Rating by 70% for 8 seconds.

Tactical Retreat

While away from the battlefield, using Drez’s Ultimate ability will cause him to prematurely return. If Drez’s Ultimate ability Deadly Ambush is already being used when he disappears, he will continue to use it once he returns.

At level 121, after returning to the battlefield, Drez’s Attack Rating is increased by 25% and his Life Leech is increased by 40 points for 15 seconds.

Skill: Hunter’s Shield

This effect activates after Drez uses his Ultimate ability, generating a shield that absorbs damage based on a percentage of his Attack Rating.

Initially, it mitigates damage equal to 400% of his Attack Rating for 5 seconds and can be activated twice per battle, providing Drez with a valuable defensive tool to help him sustain in fights.

With 9/9 Mythic pieces, this bonus is further enhanced—his Attack Speed increases by 150 points for 3 seconds whenever he uses either ability, significantly boosting his damage output during critical moments in battle.

Within the Mauler faction, it is rare for a Durri to become a hunter, as they are typically seen as the bottom of the food chain due to their short, spindly limbs and cowardly nature. However, AFK Arena Drez is an exception, having become an expert in big game hunting and joining the bear folk hunter Willson. Unlike the usually skittish Durri, Drez is calm and composed, a natural loner who thrives in the harsh wastelands.

AFK Arena Drez’s parents were killed in a hunting accident when he was a child, leaving him without the protection of a family. This difficult upbringing forced him to learn how to judge his opponents, anticipate their moves, and exploit their weaknesses while minimizing harm to himself. Though fear is deeply ingrained in Durri, Drez’s will to survive is stronger. He understands that in such a hostile environment, weakness is not an option.

Before joining Willson’s band of hunters, AFK Arena Drez was used to working alone. He learned the importance of teamwork within the group, realizing that taking down larger prey required cooperation. However, trust was an unfamiliar feeling for him. As Drez and other hunters expanded their hunting territory, they set their sights on a fire falcon. During the hunt, Drez led the attack by drawing the bird’s attention while the others circled behind. The falcon proved difficult to ensnare, and when their spears barely wounded it, Drez took matters into his own hands. He climbed onto the bird’s back and killed it by plunging his dagger into its neck.

Despite this victory, another fire falcon appeared, attacking the hunters and killing one of AFK Arena Drez’s companions. In the face of danger, the others abandoned Drez, leaving him to fend for himself. As they fled, they callously dismissed him, saying, “It’s just a Durri, run!” Though AFK Arena Drez survived, this betrayal changed him. He withdrew from others, speaking only when necessary and trusting no one unless money was involved. His deceptive, meek appearance hides a dangerous and merciless nature, earning him a fearsome reputation. As one Wasteland Guard put it, “Some folks are born merciless, others are made merciless.
