Black Desert Online Guild League Guide

Welcome to Guild League in Black Desert Online

Black Desert Online Guild League Guide

Black Desert Online Guild League Guide will help you quickly establish a strong foundation for your journey and get you on the right track!

Welcome, adventurer, to the thrilling world of Guild League in Black Desert Online, a dedicated Player versus Player (PvP) arena designed exclusively for guilds to test their mettle against one another. Unlike the open battlefields or solo arenas, Guild League offers a structured and competitive environment where teams of seven to ten guild members clash, utilizing their own hard-earned gear in a fight for supremacy and valuable rewards. The primary goal in these intense skirmishes is to accumulate points by defeating members of the opposing guild.

It’s a distinct experience from other PvP content like the Arena of Solare, emphasizing guild coordination and strategic play over individual duels. Participating in Guild League offers a unique opportunity to engage in competitive guild-versus-guild combat, allowing you to evaluate your guild’s teamwork and individual skills in a high-stakes setting. Beyond the thrill of competition, successful participation also yields significant rewards for both individuals and the guild as a whole.

Participating in Guild League

To embark on your Guild League journey, it’s crucial to understand the participation process. Guilds can apply for Guild League during specific application periods, which are staggered for different regions. For Europe (EU), the application window is open on weekdays from 5 PM to 1 AM (CET) and on weekends from 1 PM to 1 AM (CET). North American (NA) guilds can apply on weekdays from 4 PM to 12 AM (PST) and on weekends from 12 PM to 12 AM (PST).

The application itself is initiated by the Guild Master or an Officer through either the Guild information window (accessed by pressing ‘G’) or the War menu (accessible by pressing ‘F7’). Within these menus, you’ll find the Guild League option and an ‘Apply to Join’ button.

Black Desert Online - Atoraxxion

However, keep in mind that applying for Guild League is restricted in certain regions such as Atoraxxion, the Battle Arena, and the Old Moon Grand Prix. Furthermore, only guild members holding the ranks of Guild Master, Advisor, Staff, Secretary, or Guild Officer possess the authority to apply. War Heroes are also ineligible to participate, and you cannot apply if you are currently in a party or platoon.

Matchmaking Process

Once your guild has applied, the matchmaking process occurs every hour and thirty minutes. For instance, if your guild applies at 2:15 PM, the system will begin searching for a suitable opponent at 2:30 PM, and the match will commence as soon as an opposing guild within a similar score range is found. It’s important to note that matchmaking is unavailable during Node War or Siege War activities. The Guild League features three distinct matchmaking groups to accommodate different guild sizes and participation preferences: Guild Defender, Defender Unit I, and Defender Unit II.

Black Desert Online - Guild League

The results of Guild Defender matches are the only ones that will affect your guild’s overall Guild League Points, requiring at least seven online guild members to apply. Defender Unit I necessitates a minimum of fourteen online guild members after the Guild Defender group has applied, while Defender Unit II requires at least twenty-one online members under the same condition; the outcomes of matches involving these Defender Units do not impact your league points. The matchmaking system prioritizes matching Guild Defenders against other Guild Defenders first.

Defender Units I and II can be paired against each other without a specific order, but if no suitable opponents are found, a Guild Defender team might be matched against either a Defender Unit I or II team. In such cases, only the Guild Defender’s performance will influence the league point standings. Upon successful matchmaking, the arena will open, initiating a two-minute waiting time before the battle begins.

During this period, up to ten guild members can enter the arena to form a party and prepare for the fight. It’s crucial to remember that only one party per guild can participate in a match at any given time; no other guild members can enter if a guild party is already engaged in a skirmish.

Guild League Match Rules

Guild League matches have a maximum duration of 20 minutes. Victory is achieved by being the first guild to accumulate 1,000 points, which translates to 100 kills. Alternatively, if neither guild reaches this threshold by the end of the 20-minute period, the guild with the higher score at the final bell is declared the winner. In the rare event of a tie in points at the end of the match, the guild that scored the very first point of the battle will be considered victorious.

Black Desert Online - Match Results

Points are earned by defeating members of the opposing guild. The first kill of the match awards a significant 50 points. Every subsequent kill thereafter grants 10 points. Similar to open Guild Wars, defeating opponents with a higher Combat Power (CP) will yield more points. Keep in mind that the points displayed above an opponent’s head are not the real-time points currently held by their guild and do not change during active combat.

The Guild League Battlefield

Black Desert Online - Guild League Respawn Point

The Guild League battlefield is a dynamic environment divided into distinct areas. There are Red Guild Respawn Points located above and below the central area, a Yellow Center where much of the combat takes place, and Green Sides to the left and right of the center, accessible through the central area. Upon defeat, your character will automatically revive at your guild’s designated Respawn Point. There is no limit to the number of revivals throughout the entire skirmish.

Furthermore, if you are in a non-combat state upon revival, you will benefit from a temporary period of invincibility and damage reduction. Strategically placed across the center and sides of the map are various Artifacts, each appearing at fixed locations and offering powerful temporary buffs.

The Amplification Artifact increases both CP and Move Speed for a certain duration.

Black Desert Online - Ice Artifact

The Ice Artifact can freeze all enemies in range, providing a crucial opening for attack.

Black Desert Online - Heal Artifact

The Heal Artifact restores a set amount of HP for all party members.

Black Desert Online - Lightning Artifact

Lastly, the Lightning Artifact transforms a player into a damaging lightning sphere for a set time, capable of inflicting significant damage.

Black Desert Online - Bush

Adding another layer of tactical depth are bushes scattered throughout the map. Adventurers who enter a bush become temporarily invisible to those outside. However, attacking an opponent while inside a bush will momentarily reveal your location.

Guild League Interface

Black Desert Online - Remaining Time and Guild Points

During a Guild League match, a user-friendly interface provides essential information. At the top, you’ll find the Remaining Time of the match and the current Guild Points, with your guild’s score displayed in blue and the enemy’s in red. The interface also tracks Kills and Family Names, showing who you have defeated and your personal kill count.

Black Desert Online - Kill Count

The Points for Kills section displays the potential points obtainable by defeating a specific enemy, further emphasizing the value of targeting higher CP opponents.

Black Desert Online - Status

By tapping the Status and Kills icon, you can access a detailed overview of each guild member, including their Family Name, current points, and the total points for each guild, all ordered by the number of kills. Finally, a Real-Time Kill Count is visible, with your team’s kills shown in green and the enemy’s in red.

Guild League Match Flexibility

Flexibility is a key aspect of Guild League participation. Guild members can freely enter and exit a match after it has already begun. This allows for strategic substitutions or quick regrouping. However, it’s important to note that exiting a match will reset any recorded damage and Crowd Control (CC) effects you have accumulated. Additionally, guild members who join the guild after the matchmaking process is complete will not be able to enter the ongoing match.

While engaged in Guild League, certain restrictions apply. You cannot use the Escape skill, and most consumable items, with the exception of Medical Kits in some versions, as well as installable items like Stun Traps and Cannons, and transformation items are prohibited. Fortunately, your equipment durability does not decrease, and death within the Guild League arena does not result in any EXP loss or crystal destruction.

Guild League Participation Penalties

Failure to meet participation requirements will result in penalties. If your guild signs up for Guild League but less than seven guild members enter the match during the initial waiting period, your guild will automatically suffer a loss and incur a penalty. Similarly, if the number of participants on your team drops below four at any point after the match has started, it will also be considered a loss, and a penalty will be applied. Accumulating three or more penalties will result in a seven-day ban (168 hours) from joining Guild League.

Guild League Match History

After the intensity of a Guild League battle subsides, you can delve into the Match History through the Guild League menu. This detailed record provides valuable insights into your performance and that of your guildmates, displaying statistics such as K/D ratio, the number of CC effects applied, Damage Dealt, Damage Taken, and Healed for each player. The match history also indicates the class specialization of each participant, with a red icon signifying Awakening and a blue icon representing Succession.

Guild League Rankings

Guild League Rankings are determined by the accumulation of Guild League points. All participating guilds begin with 400 points. Points are earned for victories (+30) and lost for defeats (-15). Furthermore, a bonus or correction point system is in place, influenced by your guild’s current ranking bracket. For guilds in the 0-200 point range, a victory grants an additional 7 points, while a defeat results in 7 fewer points deducted. In the 201-400 range, the bonus/deduction is 5 points, and in the 401-600 range, it is 3 points.

Black Desert Online - Guild League Rankings

The Guild League features a total of 20 ranked brackets, spanning from 0-200 points to 3,801+ points. To maintain competitive activity at higher ranks, a Rank Decay (Dormancy Penalty) system exists. If a guild within a certain high-score range does not participate in any matches for a specific period, their ranking points will gradually decrease. For guilds with 3401 points or more, non-participation for five days leads to a 50-point deduction every two days. Guilds in the 2601-3400 range face a 40-point deduction every two days after five days of inactivity, while those in the 2001-2600 range will lose 30 points every two days under the same condition.

Guild League Rewards

Participation in Guild League is rewarded handsomely. At the end of each match, Individual Player Rewards are distributed to all participants. Winning guilds receive a [Guild League Victory Reward], which includes Gold Bars (1,000G x5), Superior Whale Tendon Potions (x5), Tough Whale Tendon Elixirs (x3), Perfumes of Courage (x5), Elixirs of Deep Sea (x5), a Sturdy Forest Tread (x1), Essences of Courage (x1), Essences of Gallantry (x1), and a Large Amount of Combat EXP.

Losing guilds still receive a [Guild League Defeat Reward], consisting of Gold Bars (1,000G x2), Superior Whale Tendon Potions (x3), a Tough Whale Tendon Elixir (x1), Perfumes of Courage (x2), Elixirs of Deep Sea (x2), an Essence of Courage (x1), an Essence of Gallantry (x1), and Combat EXP. The amount of Combat EXP Rewarded varies based on the adventurer’s level, with specific percentages awarded for both defeat and victory at different level ranges.

End of Season Rewards

At the culmination of each Guild League season, End of Season Rewards are distributed based on the final Guild League rankings. These prestigious rewards are granted to guild members who have been part of the guild for more than 14 days. The rewards are tiered, with the top-ranking guilds receiving the most substantial benefits. Guilds ranking 1st to 3rd receive enormous amounts of Silver in their Guild Funds (400B, 300B, and 200B respectively), the prestigious Red [Guild Leaguer] title, and Glorious Guild League Reward Boxes containing valuable items like Cron Stones, Immortal Draughts, Immortal Perfumes, Immortal Elixirs, and Sturdy Potions/Elixirs.

Guilds ranking 4th to 10th earn 100 Billion Silver for their guild, the Yellow [Guild Leaguer] title, and a Glorious Guild League Reward Box with Cron Stones, Corrupt Oil of Immortality, Harmony Draughts, Perfumes of Courage, Khalk’s Elixirs, and Sturdy Forest Treads. Those ranking 11th to 20th receive 70 Billion Silver, the Yellow [Guild Leaguer] title, and a Proud Guild League Reward Box with similar high-value items. Finally, guilds ranking 21st to 40th are rewarded with 50 Billion Silver, the Normal [Guild Leaguer] title, and a Passionate Guild League Reward Box. The earned titles remain until the end of the next regular season, signifying your guild’s achievement.

Maximizing Your Guild League Success

To maximize your guild’s success in Guild League, strategic planning and coordination are paramount. A well-rounded team composition is crucial, balancing different character classes and their respective roles, such as high-damage dealers, support specialists, and those skilled in crowd control. Clear communication and seamless coordination are essential for executing effective strategies and reacting to the enemy’s movements. Understanding the battlefield environment is key; familiarize yourself with the map layouts, the locations of your respawn points and those of the enemy, the spawn points of the powerful Artifacts, and the positioning of the concealment-granting bushes.

Black Desert Online - Bush

Strategic utilization of Artifacts at opportune moments can significantly swing the tide of battle. Coordinate with your team to decide when and how to use the Amplification, Ice, Heal, and Lightning artifacts to their fullest potential. Effective flanking maneuvers and disciplined frontline management, as highlighted in the YouTube video, can disrupt the enemy’s formation and create openings for decisive attacks. Prioritizing target selection and focusing fire on key enemy players can quickly reduce their numbers and point advantage.

While gear score (CP) undoubtedly plays a role, especially since a stronger CP adjustment is applied in Guild League compared to the Battlefield of the Sun, remember that strategic play and teamwork can often overcome gear disparities. Being adaptable to your opponents’ tactics and adjusting your strategies accordingly is vital for sustained success. Finally, optimizing your character’s skills and practicing effective skill combos for group PvP scenarios will enhance your individual contribution to the team’s efforts.

Finding a Guild for Guild League

Black Desert Online - Guilds

Finding a guild that actively participates in Guild League can sometimes be a challenge. Many guilds that engage in Guild League are also heavily involved in Node Wars. If your primary interest lies solely in Guild League, you might find it challenging to join established guilds focused on broader PvP content. A suggestion from the Reddit community is to look specifically for PvP guilds using the in-game guild finder or by actively seeking out guilds that advertise their PvP focus.

Alternatively, if you are passionate about Guild League and have specific goals in mind, you could consider creating your own guild with like-minded individuals who share your enthusiasm for this particular game mode. When approaching guilds, clearly communicate your interest in Guild League to ensure you find a good fit.

Recommended Classes for Guild League

Regarding recommended classes for Guild League, community discussions on Reddit often highlight the strengths of certain classes in large-scale PvP scenarios.

Black Desert Online - Valkyrie

Classes like Valkyrie (particularly Awakening for its utility, buffs, and crowd control), Woosa (Succession for its high damage and damage reduction), Sage (Succession for its ability to counter evasion-focused opponents), and Ranger (Succession for its strong ranged damage and protection) are frequently mentioned.

Black Desert Online - Shai

Shai is also often recommended for its powerful support capabilities and healing. However, it’s important to remember that class effectiveness can be highly dependent on individual player skill, gear level, and the overall team composition and strategy. The key is to find a class you enjoy playing and to master its role within a guild setting.

Conclusion

Guild League offers a thrilling and rewarding experience for guilds seeking competitive PvP action in Black Desert Online. By understanding the rules, mastering strategic gameplay, and fostering strong teamwork, your guild can climb the ranks, earn prestigious rewards, and etch your name in the annals of Guild League champions. Good luck on the battlefield!
