Introduction to Destiny Rising Artifacts
Artifacts in Destiny: Rising allow you to equip characters with Set Effects and attributes that can boost offense, increase survivability, or enhance specific playstyles. By choosing the right artifacts, you can tailor and refine your character’s performance around the set effects and attributes you’ve equipped.

Same Artifacts, Different Attributes
Artifacts of the same type can still carry different attributes. For example, two Bloodthirsty Shell artifacts may share identical set effects but have completely different attribute rolls. This makes it important to carefully consider which attributes benefit your character most.
To help with this, check for the thumbs-up icon on an artifact—this indicator shows which attributes are the best fit for the character you’re equipping it to.
Some Artifacts Don’t Work for All Characters
Although any character can equip any artifact, certain ones may have no effect due to weapon limitations. Keep this in mind when selecting artifacts so you don’t waste a slot on something your character can’t utilize.
How to Get Artifacts
Singularity: Chaos Rewards

The main way to acquire artifacts is through Singularity: Chaos. Using Pinnacle Energy when opening chests increases the chance of getting higher-quality artifacts.
You can also use Challenger’s Wish to target specific artifacts for the character you’re currently building, making the process more efficient.
Choice Engrams

Artifacts can also drop from Choice Engrams, which are rewards from Singularity: Order in the Realm of IX.
- Legendary Artifact Choice Engrams start appearing from Singularity: Order IV.
- Mythic Artifact Choice Engrams are available from Singularity: Order V and higher.
Artifact Institute Bundles

Another option is purchasing Artifact Bundles from the Artifact Institute using Glimmer. These bundles contain a random mix of artifacts.
Each bundle can only be purchased once, and it’s currently unknown if the limit will reset in the future. If you have spare Glimmer, these bundles can be a worthwhile investment to round out your collection.
