• Kombumaru made a bet of fate with Asase, a shrine maiden. He vowed to return from war and reclaim the bow he left behind with her as a symbol of their future.
  
• During a mission against a dark force, Kombumaru perished. His blade shattered, unable to match his indomitable will.
  
• What remained of Kirisetsu was reforged into Mistsplitter Reforged, embodying a tale of sacrifice, lost promises, and undying resolve.
