The Cooked Mutation is a valuable plant mutation in Roblox: Grow a Garden, exclusively applied by the Cooked Owl pet. It is one of two mutations the Cooked Owl can provide, the other being the Burnt mutation. Crops with Grow a Garden Cooked Mutation will have a Brown color, similar to the Cooked Owl’s appearance. It will also emit white steam or smoke.
How to Obtain the Grow a Garden Cooked Mutation
Cooked Owl (Pet)
To obtain the Cooked Mutation, you must use the Cooked Owl pet. The Cooked Owl has a passive ability called “Let Him Cook”. Every 15 minutes, it has a chance to cook a nearby fruit.
While the Cooked Owl usually applies the Burnt mutation, it occasionally applies the Cooked mutation. Grow a Garden Cooked Mutation is described as being “super rare” compared to the Burnt mutation. The Cooked Owl is a mythical pet in Grow a Garden. It was obtainable in the game during the Crafting Update, specifically on June 14, 2025.
Players had to be logged into the game before the 1.10.0 update. It was given out for free, directly appearing in players’ inventories if they were online during the giveaway.
During its release, players online were given two Cooked Owls.Cooked Owl is no longer obtainable. However, players who missed the giveaway might still be able to borrow it from a friend or try trading for it, though caution is advised due to potential scams.

Grow a Garden Cooked Mutation significantly boosts a plant’s value. The Cooked mutation gives a 5x multiplier. Other players state that the Cooked mutation provides a 10x multiplier.
