Description Chris P. has arrived and he’s hungry! Toss plants into the pot & cook them to discover all kinds of meals to meet his ever-changing cravings.

The Cooking Event in Roblox: Grow a Garden is a new update (1.17.0) that challenges players to cook specific meals for the NPC Chris P. Bacon. This event was introduced alongside the Trading update. The event premiered on August 2, 2025 and is scheduled to end on August 16, 2025.

Grow a Garden Cooking Event

The core of the event revolves around using various fruits, plants, and other items to cook specific meals for Chris P. Bacon, a critter chef located on the event platform. His cravings change every hour, requiring players to cook something new throughout the day.

Grow a Garden Cooking Event - Cooking Pot

You cook by adding ingredients into the Cooking Pot located next to Chris P. Bacon. The final meal depends on the combination of ingredients used. A board next to the cauldron displays the ingredients you’re using and the cooking time.

Grow a Garden Cooking Event: Mechanics

There are a total of twelve confirmed recipes that Chris P. Bacon may request. The order of ingredients can matter for some recipes. Additionally, some recipes only work if Chris P. is currently craving that specific food.

To cook:

  1. Hold the required fruit or ingredient and press the “E” key when near the Cooking Pot.
  2. Once ingredients are submitted, the board on the left will display the cooking time.
  3. Click the green “COOK” button under the pot.
  4. After the timer finishes, press the “E” button near the pot to claim the cooked food item.
  5. To submit food to Chris P. Bacon, interact with him by pressing “E”, then hold the cooked food item and select “Try this food I cooked up!”.

The rarity of the cooked food depends on the rarity of the fruits used as ingredients. Using a large Bone Blossom is particularly important for getting bigger, higher-rarity results, especially for Prismatic recipes, as it significantly increases the cooking timer and the size of the final product.

Grow a Garden Cooking Event: Cravings

As of now, there are twelve (12) known cravings or food requests from Chris P.

It is important to note that the weight of a plant influences how much time it adds to the cooking pot’s timer. Larger, heavier plants contribute more cooking time. For efficient reward farming, especially for higher rarity items, it is recommended to focus on growing large Bone Blossoms for your recipes.
