The Corrupted Kitsune is a powerful new Prismatic pet introduced in the Roblox: Grow a Garden Corrupted Event Update on July 26, 2025. This pet is described as the darker or chaotic side or evil version of the peaceful Kitsune. It was added as part of the second phase of the Zen Event.
Grow a Garden Corrupted Kitsune’s appearance is an inverted version of the regular Kitsune. It typically features a blue and black color scheme.
How to Obtain Grow a Garden Corrupted Kitsune
Grow a Garden Corrupted Kitsune can be obtained through specific methods, unlike previous updates where pets were often found in a single Egg.
Kitsune Chest
You have a 1% chance of getting the Corrupted Kitsune from either a Kitsune Chest or an Exotic Kitsune Chest.
Some players have noted this is a higher chance than the original Kitsune, which had a 0.08% chance.
Kitsune Chests are earned by balancing Tranquil and Corrupted fruits at the Kitsune NPC, located between the Zen and Corrupted areas in the middle of the map.
You must submit six Corrupted fruits and six Tranquil fruits to fill both sides of the meter to receive a chest.
Exotic Kitsune Chests
Exotic Kitsune Chests can be purchased directly using Robux. While this offers a direct way to acquire the pet, spending Robux for a 1% chance might not be worth it.
The Corrupted Kitsune also has a 7% chance of being obtained from a Rainbow Sack.
Grow a Garden Corrupted Kitsune: Passive Ability
The Corrupted Kitsune possesses a unique passive ability called Nine-Tailed Curse. This ability focuses on manipulating fruit mutations in your garden.
Every 20 minutes and 48 seconds (or approximately 20-21 minutes), it launches cursed energy at 9 different fruits in your garden. Each of these affected fruits has a 20.65% chance to mutate with Corrupt Chakra.
There is also a very rare chance for the fruits to receive the Corrupt Foxfire Chakra mutation instead. This ability removes 9 mutations from 9 different fruits across your plot and then applies the Corrupted Chakra or Corrupted Foxfire Chakra.
The Corrupt Chakra mutation provides a 15x multiplier to the fruit’s value, while the Corrupt Foxfire Chakra mutation offers a 90x multiplier. This can significantly increase the sale value of your plants, potentially leading to substantial profits.
Unlike the original Kitsune, which spreads and shares mutations, the Corrupted Kitsune strips away existing mutations and replaces them with its own corrupted ones, rebuilding them “in its own corrupted image”. It can help your plants get “lucrative mutations”.

The Corrupted Event Update is also expected to bring a variety of new content, including new seeds, other pets, items, features, and weather. It is speculated that this update will include a corrupted crate, egg, seed pack, and mutation, similar to previous events like the anti-bee event.
