The Kitchen Storm event is the latest major update (Update 1.18.0) in Roblox: Grow a Garden, released on August 9, 2025.
It serves as an extension of the previous Cooking Update and introduces new content focused on cooking enhancements, collectibles, and collaborative gameplay.
Unlike other weather events, Grow a Garden Kitchen Storm is not random; it is directly tied to cooking quests and can be triggered by players at will.
How to Start Grow a Garden Kitchen Storm
To initiate the Kitchen Storm event, players must fill the Kitchen Storm Meter located above the Chris P NPC at the center of the map. This is achieved by submitting cooked food items to Chris P.
The points awarded for each food category vary based on its rarity:

Grow a Garden Kitchen Storm event will automatically start for the entire server once the meter reaches 40 points. Players can continue submitting food to Chris P to upgrade the Storm Level, with each level further boosting cooking speed and other perks.

Engaging in the Kitchen Storm event offers several advantages:

Players can work together during the storm to achieve minimum cooking speeds. Cooking during the Kitchen Storm greatly improves your success rate for producing mutated food, which is essential for the Rat Connoisseur quests.
