Kodama is a Legendary tier pet in Roblox: Grow a Garden, added as part of the Corrupted Zen Event on July 26, 2025. It has a hunger rating of 22,000 and a unique humanoid appearance featuring misaligned eyes, a skull-like mask with brown wood-like horns, and a dark garment with a gray swirl design.
How to Obtain Grow a Garden Kodama
Kitsune Chest
The Kodama can be hatched from a Kitsune Chest with a 14.5% chance.
To obtain a Kitsune Chest, you need to submit five Tranquil fruits and five Corrupt fruits to the Kitsune NPC located in the middle of the lobby.
A single fruit that possesses both Tranquil and Corrupt mutations will count towards both requirements.
Exotic Kitsune Chest
This chest can also be purchased directly using Robux. You can buy one for 199 Robux, three for 575 Robux, or ten for 1,699 Robux.
Like the regular Kitsune Chest, it also offers a 14.5% chance to obtain the Kodama.
Grow a Garden Kodama: Passive Ability
Grow a Garden Kodama’s passive ability is called “Tree Spirit”. It provides a 4% to 5% chance for a Zen-type fruit to gain the Tranquil mutation upon collection.

The Tranquil mutation increases a fruit’s selling value by 20 times.Using Kodama pets is highly beneficial for completing the Corrupted Zen Event quickly and can help you acquire the rare Corrupted Kitsune.
Tranquil fruits obtained with Kodama can be submitted to the Tanuki NPC to earn Chi points. This method can generate a significant amount of Chi, allowing players to purchase expensive items like the Raiju pet or Corrupted pet shards.
Grow a Garden Kodama: Value
The estimated trading value of a Kodama pet is 400T – 500T sheckles, with a player demand rating of 6/10. While Kodama is very useful during the Corrupted Zen event, its utility might decrease after the event concludes unless Zen Seed Packs become available again.
