The Monkey is a Rare pet in Roblox: Grow a Garden. It was added to the game on May 3, 2025, as part of the Animal Update. The Monkey is described as closely resembling a real monkey.

It has two large ears, a long curly tail, It is mostly a dark, chocolaty brown. Its inner ears, face, underbelly, hands, and feet are a bright and paler brown color.

Grow a Garden Monkey can be obtained by hatching a Rare Egg; with a hatch chance of 8.33%.

The Rare Egg is currently unobtainable, which means the Monkey pet is also currently unobtainable through hatching new eggs. While generally unobtainable, some event pets may return in later updates or events, or could be acquired through trading with other players.

Grow a Garden Monkey: Passive Ability

The Monkey’s primary ability is to provide a chance of refunding fruit back to your inventory when selling them. The success rate for this refund is approximately 2.5% or 2.55%.

It’s important to note that rarer fruits have a lower chance of being refunded. For instance, rare fruits like Beanstalk, Candy Blossom, and Moon Mango are less likely to be returned.
