The Rot mutation is a unique transformation for your crops in Roblox: Grow a Garden that increases their value and changes their appearance. It was introduced as part of the Admin War update.
Grow a Garden Rot Mutation gives your crops an 8x multiplier for their sale value. This mutation makes crops emit a purple decay effect with dripping particles resembling decomposition and a darker coloration.
How to Get Grow a Garden Rot Mutation
Mandrake (Pet)
The Rot mutation is primarily obtained through the Mandrake pet and Mandrake plants.
The Mandrake pet was introduced during the Beanstalk Event Part 2. It is obtainable through Skyroot Chest, which can be purchased in Goliath Goods (Friendship Shop) for 1.5 Million Sheckles or 199 Robux each.
The Mandrake Pet has a 14.5% chance to drop from a Skyroot Chest. This pet’s passive can only be triggered when harvesting Mandrake crops. Currently, players can craft Mandrake seeds on the crafting table besides the Cosmetic shop.
Once you have both Mandrake seeds and the Mandrake pet, plant Mandrakes in your garden. Place the Mandrake pet centrally where it can affect the most plants.
Use sprinklers to significantly speed up growth. When you harvest Mandrake plants with the Mandrake pet placed in your garden, its passive trait has a 3.57% chance to apply the Rot mutation to a random plant in your garden.
Equipping multiple Mandrake pets in all pet slots will boost your chances. Keep replanting Mandrakes immediately after harvesting them.
Grow a Garden Rot Mutation is best suited for completionist collectors who want all mutations, players participating in the Admin War event, those with excess Sheckles to invest, and garden decorators who enjoy unique visuals.
