The Sauce mutation in Grow a Garden is a unique transformation that increases the value of your crops. It is part of the food-themed mutations introduced during the Cooking Event Update.

Crops with the Sauce mutation feature red drops of sauce falling from the fruit. This is described as red sauce particles falling off the fruit, or resembling a red liquid shower.
How to Obtain Grow a Garden Sauce Mutation

Spaghetti Sloth
The primary, and currently only, way to obtain the Sauce mutation is through the Spaghetti Sloth pet.
The Spaghetti Sloth is a mythical, limited pet that was released during the Cooking Update. It can be obtained by hatching a Gourmet Egg, which has a 4% chance of yielding the pet.

The Spaghetti Sloth possesses a unique passive ability called “Al dente”. Every 3.2 to 14 minutes (or 3:20 to 14 minutes, roughly 12 minutes in some instances), the pet will go to a nearby fruit and do a “cooking” to apply one of three mutations: Pasta, Sauce, or Meatball.
A notification will appear on the player’s screen when the Sauce mutation affects a fruit.
Grow a Garden Sauce Mutation: Value Multiplier
The Sauce mutation provides a x3 multiplier to your crop’s sell value. The Sauce mutation is one of three specific food-themed mutations (along with Pasta and Meatball) that can combine on a single crop.

When a crop has all three mutations (Pasta, Sauce, and Meatball), they will combine to form the Spaghetti mutation. The Spaghetti mutation offers a higher multiplier of x15.
It is important to note that when the Spaghetti mutation is formed, the original Pasta, Sauce, and Meatball mutations are removed and cannot be re-applied.
