The Stonebite is a crop that was introduced to Grow a Garden on July 5, 2025, as part of the Prehistoric update. This update centers around dinosaurs and brings exclusive content like the Ancient Seed Pack and Dino Quests. Grow a Garden Stonebite is an uncommon rarity crop in Grow a Garden. It is a single-harvest plant, meaning it only produces one crop per planting.
The Stonebite plant has a light green stem with a leaf that bends onto the main flower part, which is a light greyish-blue color and resembles a serpent’s mouth. It is noted to look like a smaller version of the Venus Fly Trap due to its mouth and stem shape.

You cannot buy Grow a Garden Stonebite seeds directly from the Seed Shop; instead, you must rely on opening Ancient Seed Packs or Exotic Ancient Seed Packs. Stonebite has a 40% chance of dropping from Ancient Seed Packs and a 39% chance from Exotic Ancient Seed Packs. It can also be obtained from a Rainbow Sack.
You can buy the Exotic Ancient seed pack from the limited-time shop. Prices are: 199 Robux for one pack, 575 Robux for three packs, and 1,699 Robux for 10 packs. You can also purchase an Ancient seed pack from the new crafting bench for 199 Robux.
Prehistoric Quest
Visit Blaire at the Prehistoric Quests stall. Complete quests that reward Ancient Seed Packs. You can receive one seed pack from normal task rewards that refresh every 12 hours. Completing weekly rewards can yield a total of 19 Ancient Seed Packs.
Crafting
The crafting machine is next to the Blaire NPC. To craft one Ancient Seed Pack, you need one dinosaur egg and 5.5 million Sheckles. There is a one-hour waiting period for the crafting process to complete.
Pets
Red Fox
If you have a Red Fox pet and another player on your server is growing a Stonebite, your fox might steal one of its seeds. A Level 1 Red Fox has a chance to do this every 10 minutes.
Raccoon
A raccoon has the ability to steal (duplicate) other players’ crops. Instead of seed, your raccoon can give you a Stonebite crop in game. This pet can be acquired through a Night Egg.
Grow a Garden Stonebite: Value
Stonebite has a base selling price of 35,000 Sheckles without any mutations. Its base weight is approximately 1 kilogram. While Stonebite’s selling price of 35,000 Sheckles is considered low compared to rarer seeds like Horned Dinoshroom, Firefly Fern, or Fossilight Fruit, its high drop rate (40%) makes it an easy and accessible choice for early-game players.
If you are grinding for Dino Quest rewards, you will likely get many Stonebite seeds just by playing the event. It can work wonders for your pocket if you’re looking for a fast money-making medium.
