Introduction

“Family” is the name given to teams / alliances / factions in the game Legend of Mushroom. It is a collection of players banded together to achieve common goals, particularly within events. Often family’s come with treaties amongst players to not attack each other in Arena, or steal one another’s fruits from the garden.

Why Join a Family

Joining a family allows you to request help for timers (reducing its time), take part in events, and purchase from the Family Shop to name a few benefits. It is imperative you join an active family in order to grow as fast as possible, and to score well in events.

Family Hall

The Family Hall can be thought of as an administrative building within your family area. At this building you can see the member list, help family members, donate to the family, and access family management.

  • Member List: Here you can see who is a part of your family, their position, and their weekly activity (this is their donation amount).
  • Family Help: Here you can see who needs help, with what they need help with, and can give help. Helping is simply clicking a button, there is even a “Help All” button to simplify things. For helping, your teammates will receive a reduction in their timers, and for the first 10 people you help per day, you should receive 50 Family Contribution (500 total per day).
  • Donation: Here you can donate to the family, each donation is worth 100 points, which goes towards upgrading the family’s level. The first donation is free, then increases by 20 gems until you reach 100 gems for the final donation. For each donation you are given 1x 5 min speed up coupon and 100 Family Contribution.
  • Family Management: Here you can view a list of families on your server, your family log (family level upgrades, success in events etc.) and can see who has joined / left the family.

Family Shop

The family shop is where you can use your Family Contribution. The shop is refreshed every day, but it allows you to purchase lamps, speedup coupons, gold, skill and pal draw tickets, drills, bombs, challenge tickets, and advanced seeds. As your family level increases, the amount of items available in the Family Shop increase too.

Blazing Cave

The Blazing Cave is an event area where you can battle the Lava Behemoth.

By defeating level 40/80/100 Lava Behemoth’s, you will obtain 1 Basic Lava Chest for your family to claim, and a small chance of obtaining 1 Advanced Lava Chest. The daily limit of how many basic and advanced chests players can claim per day, increases with your Family’s level. All unclaimed chests are cleared during server reset.

There is also a damage ranking amongst your Family where you are ranked against all other participants to see how you stand amongst your Family.

You are given another opportunity to attack the Lava Behemoth every 8 hours, with a maximum stack of opportunities being 2 (i.e. don’t go more than 16 hours without attacking the Lava Behemoth).

Grumpy Bighead

Legend of Mushroom: Family Guide - image 49

Team up with your Family to tackle the Grumpy Bighead.

When the event begins, there is a short waiting period whilst players join, before launching into a ten minute battle. Assuming you are playing with Auto On, you don’t really have to do much. Use this time to read more Theria guides 😉

The rewards for completing a Grumpy Bighead raid depend on the level, and how much damage is inflicted. The level increases once you kill the amount of remaining HP for the raid (i.e. you can jump up multiple levels per raid). Furthermore you gain rewards for signing-up, participating, DMG contribution, and first kill (if you kill a new level of Grumpy Bighead). Rewards include: Family Contribution, Skill Coupons, Pal Coupons, Divine Hammers, and Clock Winders.

Family Brawl

Legend of Mushroom: Family Guide - image 47

This is a week long event where you battle against other alliances. The first Family Brawl will be against a Family on your server, and after this you compete against Families on other servers.

This event is comprised of seven stages: Signup, Matching, Preparation, Adjustment, Waiting, Battle, and Settlement.

Stages Explained

Signup Stage:

The signup stage occurs every Monday from 00:00 to 24:00 server time. Families are automatically signed up if they

Matching Stage:

The matching stage occurs every Tuesday from 00:00 to 06:00 server time. During this time families that have signed up to Family Brawl will be automatically matched with others of the same rank to a form a group – each groups typically consists of four families. Each of these families will 1v1 one another on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Preparation Stage:

The preparation stage occurs on Tuesday from 06:00 to 24:00 server time. During this time period, players can choose one of three lanes on the map.

Adjustment Stage:

During the adjustment stage, that occurs from 00:00 to 19:00 every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, players can switch between battle plans (the gear, skills, pals etc. that you are using for the battle), and family leaders can change the battle order or swap lanes base on the opponent’s choices. During this stage, you can see the enemy teams lanes, except for the top three players.

Waiting Stage:

The waiting stage lasts one hour, from 19:00 to 20:00 server time every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. No modifications to battle plans, battle order, or lane swapping can be done.

Battle Stage:

The battle stage occurs from 20:00 to 22:00 every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, with each lane engaging in 1v1 battles until one family has no remaining players. The family that wins at least two out of the three paths wins the overall brawl.

Settlement Stage:

This occurs after 22:00 server time every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Battle rewards are distributed based on wins and loses, weekly personal and family point rankings also determine additional rewards.

Potential Strategies

  • One potential strategy is to focus on only two lanes, and neglect the third. You only need to win 2/3 to win the overall brawl.
  • Most people would expect you to hide your best players (as you can hide 3 players in each lane), instead you could put weak players in here and show a couple of strong players to increase the chance of the other Family neglecting that lane, and choosing to focus on other lanes – letting you win a lane whilst utilising less of your strong players.
  • Have the leader continue to switch players during the adjustment stage in order to throw the enemy off. I suggest not showing your game plan until it is too late for them to react to it.

Family Treasure Hunt

Legend of Mushroom: Family Guide - image 48

The Family Treasure Hunt is a quick event that requires you to run around your Family territory and collect chests. You can collect up to five chests in total, and they give diamonds and gold.

To claim a chest, simply walk up to it and wait whilst a loading circle completes. Each chest can be claimed by up to 7 players, and will say above it how many players have claimed – so make sure to avoid chests that are 7/7 as you won’t be able to receive any reward. There are several rounds of fresh chests during this mini event, and it is very easy to complete (assuming you are on time).
