Introduction and Overview
Marvel Strike Force Masters of Evil is known for being the first to officially include a Dark Dimension character, Ultron. Kang the Conqueror is the team’s standout character, playing a crucial role as their Most Valuable Player due to his exceptional damage output. The team performs best in the Cosmic Crucible game mode, where they are recognized as one of the strongest offensive teams. Additionally, they provide significant value in Nova Trials, especially when their Crucible bonuses are activated through the appropriate Pact, enhancing their effectiveness in this mode.
Team Members
The core members of the Masters of Evil in Marvel Strike Force are Absorbing Man, Titania, Ultron, Moonstone, and Kang the Conqueror. This lineup combines powerful abilities and synergies that contribute to the team’s effectiveness in various game modes.
Utility and Game Modes
In Marvel Strike Force, the Masters of Evil excel primarily in Cosmic Crucible, their most effective game mode, where most team members have bonuses that enhance their performance. This menacing team can handle nearly all enemies in Cosmic Crucible with ease. They are also essential in Nova Trials, as they can activate their Cosmic Crucible bonuses to increase their effectiveness. In Dark Dimensions, individual characters such as Ultron and especially Kang the Conqueror stand out, with Kang regarded as one of the best Cosmic characters for these challenges. Ultron performs well in Dark Dimensions 2 through 5 and can be effective in Dark Dimension 6 when upgraded with high Red Stars. In Alliance War, the team is generally below average, though Kang provides some counter opportunities against certain teams. However, opponents like Eternals and War Dogs tend to counter the Masters of Evil effectively on defense, while the team may find some success against Rebirth and X-Men lineups. Outside of these modes, their overall performance is moderate, with the ability to win lower-level Blitz battles even without Kang.

Team Placement & Turn Order
In Marvel Strike Force, the placement of Masters of Evil members is important for maximizing their effectiveness. Absorbing Man, as the Protector, should be positioned in the corner to best utilize his defensive abilities. Titania should be placed next to Absorbing Man, benefiting from her frequent buffs and high health. Kang, the team’s most valuable member, should be positioned in the opposite corner, farthest from Absorbing Man, to keep him protected and allow him to operate safely. In Cosmic Crucible, the optimal turn order is Titania first, followed by Kang, Ultron, Moonstone, and finally Absorbing Man. This order assumes that Ultron and Titania have their Passive Abilities fully upgraded. Outside of Cosmic Crucible, Kang often goes first, especially if enemies spawn with Speed Up effects, followed by Titania, Moonstone, Ultron, and Absorbing Man taking the last turn. This setup helps ensure the team’s abilities are used in the most strategic way possible.
Iso-8 Classes
In Marvel Strike Force’s Cosmic Crucible, all Masters of Evil members are generally recommended to be played as Strikers. This strategy leverages Kang’s Passive ability, which applies multiple Vulnerable effects to opponents each turn, allowing the team to maximize damage through Striker attacks. Absorbing Man can also function as a Fortifier for added durability, gaining an extra barrier to better withstand attacks, but as a Striker, he becomes more effective by clearing positive effects and gaining Deflects with counters, assists, and Iso-8 attacks against Vulnerable targets, which enhances his tanking and debuffing capabilities. Titania is best suited as a Striker in Cosmic Crucible since Kang’s Passive already boosts critical chance, and her counters, amplified by Absorbing Man, further increase her crit rate, making Striker the optimal choice for her single-target attacks. Outside of Crucible, she benefits more from Raider for increased critical strike damage. Ultron thrives as a Striker due to his ability to remove buffs with his basic attack, consistently boosting his damage output, though he can also function as a Raider when Kang’s Passive grants him high crit chance, enhancing his Ultimate. Moonstone performs well as a Striker in Crucible, while Skirmisher can be useful outside this mode to gain Focus and apply Vulnerable effects. Kang is primarily a Striker in Cosmic Crucible since his Iso-8 attack fills his Speed Bar upon hitting Vulnerable targets, though he can sometimes be played as a Raider, but Striker generally yields more benefits.
T4 Priority (Ability Upgrades)
For the Masters of Evil team in Marvel Strike Force, certain Tier 4 abilities are essential to maximize their effectiveness. Kang’s Passive and Ultimate are highly valuable across all game modes; his Passive helps fill Speed Bars and steals health, while his Ultimate clears defenses and delivers massive area-of-effect damage. Ultron’s Special, Passive, and Ultimate are crucial, with his Special consistently summoning three minions, and his Ultimate and Passive playing key roles in Cosmic Crucible. Titania’s Special and Passive are important for increasing Speed Bar on spawn, granting Deflect and Counter in Cosmic Crucible, boosting critical chance and damage, and enabling self-healing. Her Special also gains Safeguard if the target has it. Moonstone’s Special, Ultimate, and Passive contribute significantly to crowd control by applying Disrupted and Trauma, stunning enemies, and providing a substantial Focus boost to the team in Cosmic Crucible to ensure debuffs land. Absorbing Man’s Ultimate and Special are essential for applying Deflect and Immunity to the team and transferring negative effects from allies to himself, turning them into positive buffs. Additional Tier 4 abilities are recommended to enhance performance but are less critical: Kang’s Special and Basic help clear Barrier, apply buffs, and disrupt enemies; Titania’s Basic clears negative effects and generates ability energy, especially useful in Cosmic Crucible; and Absorbing Man’s Passive increases his Resistance and grants counters to Titania upon spawn, boosting offensive capabilities in Cosmic Crucible.

On-Spawn Buffs
In Cosmic Crucible, the Masters of Evil team benefits from Speed Up and Defense Up buffs lasting for two turns. Titania provides five Counters and one Deflect, while Absorbing Man uses Taunt and grants three Deflects to the team. Ultron has a one-time Revive ability that enhances the team’s survivability. In other game modes, the team maintains Defense Up for two turns, with Absorbing Man continuing to Taunt and provide three Deflects, and Ultron retaining his single-use Revive to support the team’s endurance.
Team Mechanics (Individual Character Breakdown)
The Masters of Evil in Marvel Strike Force are defined by Ultron’s minions and Kang the Conqueror’s immense power, with each member benefiting from specific bonuses in Cosmic Crucible. Kang gains increased Max Health, Crit Damage, and Crit Chance for himself and the team. He manipulates speed by starting with Speed Up, filling his and allies’ Speed Bars, and increasing Speed Bar gain when enemies gain Speed Up, often allowing multiple team turns. His Passive attacks all enemies for Piercing damage, steals health, transfers negative effects to the most injured enemy, clears enemy Speed Up, and applies Vulnerable to enemies to enhance Striker synergy. Kang’s Ultimate clears Barrier and Deathproof, applies Defense Down, deals high Piercing damage, removes positive effects, reduces enemy Speed Bars, and prevents revival, while also healing himself in Crucible. His Special clears Barrier, attacks multiple targets, applies Slow, and buffs himself and allies. His Basic attack gains Speed Bar if the target is Vulnerable and applies Disrupted. Kang is recommended to have 7 Red Stars for resource efficiency.
Ultron grants the team increased Armor and summons three unique bots that provide buffs such as Offense Up, Speed Up, healing, Regeneration, and Deathproof. His Special summons these bots and applies Defense Up to the team, with attacks that are Unavoidable and Unblockable. Ultron’s Ultimate clears Deathproof from the target, deals high Piercing damage, gains Ability Energy based on positive effects, and prevents revival. His Basic clears positive effects from enemies while dealing damage. His Passive provides a Revive, prolongs positive effects on kills, and grants Speed Bar on spawn.
Titania receives a significant Max Health boost and applies Defense Up to the team on spawn. She gains Counters and Deflects that increase her Crit Chance and Damage, heals and fills Speed Bar when gaining positive effects, and applies Slow to attackers. Her Ultimate applies multiple debuffs and deals damage with extended duration in Crucible. Her Special clears buffs from enemies, grants Defense Up, and can gain Safeguard. Her Basic clears negative effects and generates Ability Energy on critical hits.
Moonstone provides the team with large Focus boosts, heals and barriers herself, clears buffs from enemies, and transfers negative effects to foes. Her Ultimate deals damage, applies Defense Down, stuns, and reduces Speed Bars. Her Special reduces Speed Bar of the highest damage enemy, mind controls them, and applies multiple debuffs. Her Basic applies Defense Down and gains Ability Energy when targeting Vulnerable enemies.
Absorbing Man serves as the Protector with boosted Resistance, starts with Taunt and Deflects, and absorbs enemy attacks while converting negative effects on allies into positive buffs. When attacked, he removes buffs from enemies and gains Defense Up, Armor, and Resistance. Below 50% health, he removes Taunt and gains Speed Bar. His Special transfers harmful effects from allies to himself, flipping them into buffs while taunting. His Ultimate clears harmful effects, heals himself, attacks the enemy, and applies Deflect and Immunity to the team. His Basic clears buffs from enemies and gains Deflects if the target is Vulnerable.
Together, these features create a powerful, synergistic team in Cosmic Crucible with strong crowd control, survivability, and damage output.
Combat Tips & Tricks
The Masters of Evil team in Marvel Strike Force gains a significant speed advantage in Cosmic Crucible, largely due to Kang’s Speed Up ability, which often allows them to take the first turn and sometimes multiple consecutive turns before enemies can act. They excel at dealing with enemy buffs, as Absorbing Man and Ultron can remove positive effects from attackers, making it easier to dismantle unprotected teams. When facing Wakandan teams, the recommended approach is to prioritize Shuri first, then Okoye to reduce assists. Ultron’s Special followed by his Ultimate can quickly eliminate one of the mystics, while Kang’s Ultimate finishes off the remaining threats. Against Gamma teams, focusing on Red Hulk and eliminating him swiftly is key, with a well-upgraded Kang significantly easing this encounter. For Unlimited X-Men, Titania’s Ultimate is used on Rogue to apply Disrupted, preventing her Taunt when allies fall below 50% health, supported by Titania’s Passive for optimal timing. Following that, Ultron’s Special rewinds Dazzler to delay her flip, setting up Kang’s Ultimate to take her out. In larger fights, Moonstone can stun Dazzler while the team focuses down Gambit. The Masters of Evil also perform well against Spider-Weaver teams in Cosmic Crucible. Overall, with a strong Kang leading the charge, this team can secure rapid victories, with Kang and Ultron often taking two turns each before enemies act, severely weakening or eliminating the opposing team early in battle.
