Introduction to the P.E.G.A.S.U.S. Team
Marvel Strike Force Pegasus is a highly anticipated addition to Marvel Strike Force, designed specifically to strengthen performance in Tech Raid scenarios. This team features a mix of two reworked legacy characters alongside three newly introduced ones, offering a refreshed and powerful synergy. Optimized for Raids, they are particularly effective in handling the Tech nodes found in Incursion Raids, making them a strategic choice for players looking to improve their Raid efficiency. One of the standout members is Iron Man (Infinity War), a fan-favorite character who brings significant power and appeal to the team. Notably, P.E.G.A.S.U.S. is structured in a way that allows them to perform effectively even without being fully upgraded, making them a versatile and reliable option in Marvel Strike Force.

P.E.G.A.S.U.S. Team Members
The P.E.G.A.S.U.S. team in Marvel Strike Force is composed of five key members: Darkhawk, Iron Man (Infinity War), Kestrel, Rescue, and Ironheart (MK II). This lineup combines both new and reworked characters to create a well-rounded and synergistic squad tailored for Tech Raid content. Each member contributes unique abilities that enhance the team’s overall effectiveness, particularly in the challenging Tech nodes of Incursion Raids. Their balanced composition allows them to function efficiently even without maxed-out upgrades, providing a dependable option for players aiming to strengthen their Raid performance in Marvel Strike Force.
Utility and Use Cases
P.E.G.A.S.U.S. is primarily designed for Raid content in Marvel Strike Force, with particular strength in the Tech nodes of Incursion I Raids. Despite the Barrier rules that may not favor them, they remain highly effective and are currently regarded as one of the top, if not the best, teams for Raid play. Their strong performance allows players to reliably simulate battles at lower difficulty levels without requiring significant investment, making them an efficient and practical choice for progressing through Raid content.
Beyond Raids, P.E.G.A.S.U.S. also has viable applications in other game modes. They can serve as a solid midrange team across various scenarios, including War Mode, where they are particularly effective on defense. In Cosmic Crucible, the team functions well as a defensive placeholder, taking advantage of room bonuses. Additionally, individual characters like Kestrel offer versatility by contributing to other team compositions, such as pairing with Secret Avengers in War Offense.
However, the team does come with limitations. Their relatively low Speed outside of Raids hinders their overall competitiveness in other game modes, especially without their Raid-specific speed advantage. This vulnerability is compounded by their lack of protective mechanics for buffs, such as Safeguard. As with many Raid-focused teams, P.E.G.A.S.U.S. may experience a limited period of dominance, often extending just one difficulty level beyond their intended design. Over time, while the full team may lose relevance, certain characters often remain valuable in other lineups, continuing to contribute even after the core team’s utility declines. Despite these factors, they currently offer strong performance and utility in Marvel Strike Force.
Team Mechanics and Synergy
The P.E.G.A.S.U.S. team in Marvel Strike Force is built with a strong emphasis on speed manipulation, sustainability, energy efficiency, and debuff application, making them highly effective in Raid environments. In Raids, all members gain a 75% Speed Bar boost on spawn thanks to Ironheart (MK II)’s passive ability, giving them a significant turn order advantage. Darkhawk enhances this by using his Ultimate to fill the team’s Speed Bars while simultaneously reducing the opponents’ by 25%, often allowing P.E.G.A.S.U.S. to act twice before enemies take a turn. Iron Man (Infinity War) contributes further by reducing Speed Bars with his Basic attack, reinforcing the team’s momentum.
The team also excels in sustain and healing. Rescue supports the squad by directly healing with her Ultimate and stealing health through her Special. Each member also has passive healing abilities that help maintain team durability throughout Raid nodes. Darkhawk heals himself when any team member lands a Critical hit, while Iron Man (Infinity War) heals allies each time a positive effect is applied. Kestrel self-heals on her turn and removes negative effects, while Rescue provides team-wide healing when enemies with Vulnerable take turns. Additionally, Rescue can revive fallen allies and gains Speed Bar and Ability Energy when teammates are defeated. Iron Man (Infinity War) offers protection for Rescue by applying Stealth to her and redirecting enemy attacks with Taunt when her health drops below 50%.
The team manages Ability Energy efficiently. At the start of each Raid encounter, all members gain 2 Ability Energy through Ironheart’s passive. During combat, Darkhawk’s passive allows every member to gain 1 Ability Energy whenever a P.E.G.A.S.U.S. member uses a Basic attack, enabling strategic conservation of abilities for future battles.
P.E.G.A.S.U.S. takes full advantage of Vulnerable debuffs in Raids, reducing enemy Crit Chance, Resistance, and Armor by 30% when applied. The team applies a wide range of powerful debuffs through individual abilities. Darkhawk inflicts Offense Down and Disrupted, Iron Man (Infinity War) delivers Ability Block, Bleed, Defense Down, and Blind, while Kestrel continuously applies Defense Down and punishes enemies with passive strikes. Ironheart (MK II) brings crowd control through Slow, Trauma, and multi-target Stuns. Kestrel’s Charged mechanic also prevents enemies from summoning, adding another layer of control.
Upon spawn, the team receives a comprehensive set of buffs including Barrier, Defense Up, Deflect, and Ability Energy, while Kestrel starts with Charged and Offense Up. During battle, they cycle through buffs like Counters, Speed Up, Regeneration, Deathproof, Deflect, Immunity, and Offense Up, maintaining high uptime on crucial effects like Immunity and Speed Up. These combined mechanics solidify P.E.G.A.S.U.S. as one of the most well-rounded and powerful Raid teams in Marvel Strike Force.
Team Placement & Turn Order
In Marvel Strike Force, while placement is less critical for the P.E.G.A.S.U.S. team during Raids due to their significant speed advantage, strategic positioning can still improve their overall performance and survivability. One effective setup involves placing Ironheart (MK II) and Darkhawk on the outer edges to protect their lower health pools. Alternatively, a more synergistic layout positions Iron Man (Infinity War) and Rescue on the ends, with Kestrel at the center and Ironheart and Darkhawk flanking her. This arrangement enables Ironheart and Darkhawk to apply beneficial effects to adjacent allies through their Special abilities, maximizing teamwide value. Keeping Iron Man (Infinity War) away from Rescue is also beneficial, as he automatically Taunts when she drops below 50% health, helping divert attacks away from her and increasing her chances of survival.
In terms of turn order during battle, Kestrel typically acts first, followed by Ironheart (MK II), then Rescue. Iron Man (Infinity War) and Darkhawk generally follow, depending on Speed stat differences and in-combat energy availability. This sequence ensures early application of debuffs, buffs, and utility abilities, allowing the team to take control quickly and maintain momentum throughout Raid encounters in Marvel Strike Force.
ISO-8 Classes
In Marvel Strike Force, selecting the appropriate ISO-8 classes for the P.E.G.A.S.U.S. team enhances their overall effectiveness in battle, particularly in Raids. Darkhawk is best used as a Raider to take advantage of increased Critical Chance and Damage while maximizing his ability to apply Vulnerable. This choice synergizes well with his passive healing, which triggers whenever any team member lands a Critical hit, improving his sustain during extended fights.
Iron Man (Infinity War) performs optimally as a Striker, allowing him to deal enhanced damage and perform follow-up attacks against enemies with Vulnerable. This not only boosts his offensive output but also helps control the battlefield by leveraging his strong single-target and area attacks.
Ironheart (MK II) is ideally equipped with Skirmisher early on, especially if she’s underpowered, as it boosts her Focus and ensures her debuffs land reliably. Once she’s sufficiently leveled and geared, switching to Striker allows her to contribute more damage while still applying Vulnerable through follow-up attacks, maintaining her utility.
Kestrel functions well as either a Raider or a Skirmisher. Raider builds focus on maximizing her damage output and applying additional Vulnerable effects, while Skirmisher enhances her utility by stripping enemy buffs and increasing the team’s debuff potential. Both options support her passive ability to apply Defense Down with bonus attacks, making her versatile in different scenarios.
Rescue benefits most from the Healer class, reinforcing her role as the team’s primary source of healing and sustain. However, if the team’s survivability is strong enough without extra healing, Skirmisher is a viable alternative to boost Vulnerable application and ensure that enemy defenses are consistently weakened.
Carefully chosen ISO-8 roles significantly improve the efficiency, damage output, and survivability of the P.E.G.A.S.U.S. team, making them even more dominant in Raids and other combat scenarios in Marvel Strike Force.
T4 Ability Priority
To maximize the effectiveness of the P.E.G.A.S.U.S. team in Marvel Strike Force, upgrading key T4 abilities is essential. Prioritizing specific abilities significantly enhances their core functions in Raids and improves team synergy.
For Iron Man (Infinity War), upgrading his Special is critical as it extends Ability Block, a vital control mechanic. His Ultimate gains added value through increased damage and the ability to apply Blind, while his Passive boosts teamwide damage, making it another top priority. Kestrel benefits greatly from a T4 upgrade to her Special, which extends Defense Down, and her Passive, which enhances her sustain and damage output throughout the fight.
Rescue’s most impactful T4 upgrades include her Special for stronger healing, her Ultimate to enable ally revival, and her Passive, which grants Speed Bar and Ability Energy when allies fall, helping to recover momentum. Ironheart (MK II) should prioritize her Special to ensure Trauma is consistently applied and her Ultimate for extended Stun duration and additional targets. Her Passive is also a strong choice, adding Disrupted when she drops below 50% health and further disrupting enemy plans.
Additional T4 upgrades further refine performance. Darkhawk’s Special allows him to spread negative effects more effectively, while his Ultimate grants Offense Up to allies. His Passive boosts Crit Damage, supporting both offense and self-healing. Iron Man (Infinity War)’s Basic attack can be upgraded to reduce enemy Speed Bars, improving control. Kestrel’s Basic and Ultimate upgrades help maintain Defense Down, synergizing with her passive attacks. Rescue’s Basic applies Defense Down, which complements Kestrel’s passive, and Ironheart (MK II)’s Basic prolongs negative effects, helping the team maintain control of key targets.
Investing in these T4 abilities sharpens the P.E.G.A.S.U.S. team’s impact across multiple battles, enhancing their value and effectiveness in Marvel Strike Force.
Combat Tips & Tricks
In Raids, effective ability sequencing is crucial for maximizing the performance of the P.E.G.A.S.U.S. team in Marvel Strike Force. Opening with Kestrel’s Special is a strong starting move, as it applies both Defense Down and Vulnerable, setting up the enemy team for high-damage follow-up attacks. After softening targets with her debuffs, follow up with Ultimates from other team members to capitalize on the reduced defenses and secure early control of the battle.
To maintain long-term sustainability across Raid nodes, it’s recommended to finish fights using Basic Abilities. This approach takes advantage of Darkhawk’s passive, which grants Ability Energy to all team members whenever a Basic is used, helping to ensure that key abilities are ready at the start of the next encounter.
Controlling enemy threats is a core strength of this team, and strategic use of Iron Man (Infinity War)’s Ability Block and Ironheart (MK II)’s multi-target Stun is essential. These crowd control tools can shut down high-risk enemies before they activate powerful abilities, maintaining the team’s momentum and survivability.
When facing enemy P.E.G.A.S.U.S. teams, targeting Rescue first is often the best strategy. As the team’s only dedicated support character, removing her early eliminates their primary source of healing and prevents potential revives, significantly weakening the opposing team’s durability and giving your squad a decisive advantage in Marvel Strike Force.
Counters to the P.E.G.A.S.U.S. Team
Several teams and strategies are effective counters to P.E.G.A.S.U.S. in Marvel Strike Force. The A-Force team, with Nico Minoru’s Ultimate, is especially potent as it removes positive effects and applies unavoidable negative effects, making it a reliable choice in War Offense. The Underworld team can neutralize P.E.G.A.S.U.S. by blinding all enemies at the start of battle and focusing on stunning key members like Kestrel to disrupt their strategy.
Eternals, particularly Ikaris and Sersi, provide strong control options. Ikaris’s Ultimate flips positive effects into negative ones and deals damage, setting up Sersi’s Ultimate to reduce enemy Speed Bars. Pairing them with other control characters further enhances their effectiveness. The Tangled Web team, featuring Kang and an additional character, has demonstrated the ability to decisively defeat even powerful P.E.G.A.S.U.S. squads.
Undying teams with Vision and Deadlock pose a significant threat by clearing positive effects and spreading bleeds through Zombie Juggernaut, applying constant pressure. Another variation of Eternals combined with Neymar, Loki, and Sylvie can overcome P.E.G.A.S.U.S., though it relies partially on the RNG of Loki’s mind control abilities.
While the Darkhold team can be used against P.E.G.A.S.U.S., it requires a very large and specialized roster, and other options are generally preferred in the current meta. Weapon X teams are capable but less reliable, as their success depends on specific skill orders and the particular strength of Omega Red and Weapon X, making them less consistent overall.
Super Skrull combined with Sinister Six is a proven composition that can effectively dismantle P.E.G.A.S.U.S. in Real-Time Arena, War, and Cosmic Crucible. Additionally, any teams that can prevent revives pose a considerable threat, as they negate Rescue’s ability to bring allies back into the fight, undermining the core sustainability of P.E.G.A.S.U.S.
Future Proofing and Dark Dimension (DD6) Investment
In Marvel Strike Force, no team is truly future-proof, with most teams remaining useful for about six to eight months, and anything beyond that considered a bonus. Raid teams, in particular, tend to have a limited lifespan, so prioritizing high-quality characters with lasting value is generally more effective for progressing through difficult content like DD6.
Kestrel stands out for her longevity due to her Mythic status and being an MSF-exclusive character. She is essential for DD7 unless major reworks occur to characters like Ultimus or Ultron, or additional Mythic tags become available. Within the P.E.G.A.S.U.S. team, Kestrel is regarded as the primary carry and also brings value to other teams. Although she was used in DD6, some players preferred alternatives like Super Skrull.
Regarding P.E.G.A.S.U.S. in DD6, the general consensus is not to delay progression just to build the full team. While it is possible to use P.E.G.A.S.U.S. at this difficulty, many advise conserving Tech gear for other characters such as Kang, Vulture, Doc Ock, and Classic Green Goblin. Rescue and Iron Man (Infinity War) are exceptions, as they have been taken to DD6 and Rescue is considered a solid and cost-effective option when Tech gear is available. Darkhawk and Ironheart (MK II), however, are typically not recommended for investment at this level.
The full P.E.G.A.S.U.S. team has demonstrated the ability to one-shot Global nodes in DD6, though this often requires using a “sacrifice” team to absorb enemy abilities first. For the Global section of DD6, Apocalypse and Quicksilver are regarded as core characters, with other team slots being more flexible. Nightcrawler and a reworked Gambit also provide strong options.
Trait balance is critical for Dungeon Difficulties, and mono-trait raid teams can slow overall progress if other sections require those traits. Tech is often considered one of the least optimal traits for this purpose due to the availability of many strong mythic, legendary, and city tech characters.
In runs without Apocalypse, P.E.G.A.S.U.S. has shown notable survivability compared to tankier characters like Hulk and Zombie Juggernaut. Among P.E.G.A.S.U.S. members, Ironheart (MK II) is generally seen as the least important for DD6 progression, followed by Rescue, Darkhawk, and then Iron Man (Infinity War) in order of importance.
