The Bosses Update marks a major shift in gameplay by introducing formidable boss characters for the first time. The update was released globally on Saturday, September 27, 2025 in Roblox: Plants vs Brainrots.

Bosses are larger, stronger Brainrots that provide new challenges. Currently, five bosses have been added to the game.
Plants vs Brainrots Bosses: Spawn Mechanics
| Spawn Trigger | A boss spawns every 500 Brainrots defeated (or spawned). |
| Boss Type Determination | The type of boss encountered depends on your Spawner Level, which is directly tied to your Rebirth Level. |
| Base Boss | The default boss, Hotspotini Burrito, will continue to spawn if you do not meet the required Rebirth Level for higher bosses. |
| Variants | Bosses can appear with mutations that slightly alter their stats. Certain bosses, like Hotspotini Burrito, can have Golden and other variants with boosted income. |
| Rewards | Defeating bosses earns players exclusive gear and items not available through regular gameplay. |
Plants vs Brainrots Bosses: Unlock Requirements
The specific boss you encounter is determined by achieving the corresponding Rebirth Level and Spawner Level.

To maximize boss farming efficiency, you must focus on increasing Brainrot kill counts and maintaining your progression.
The fastest way to hit the required 500 defeated Brainrots is by using Speed Potions, which accelerate the Brainrot spawn rates.
It is crucial to rebirth regularly to unlock higher-level bosses. You cannot access higher bosses without unlocking the necessary Spawner Level tied to your Rebirth Level.

Rebirth and Progression
The maximum rebirth level was increased from Rebirth 2. Players can now reach at least Rebirth 3. Reaching Rebirth 3 requires obtaining specific items: the Los Tralaleritos and Vacca Saturno Saturnita.
Trading and gifting are temporarily disabled due to suspected duping issues. Since rebirthing causes players to lose all their current brainrots (including limited ones like the 67 brainrot, it is recommended to wait until trading is restored before rebirthing your primary account.
