The Fiery Protector: Whiteout Survival Flint Guide

In the frigid expanse of Whiteout Survival, where survival is a daily struggle, a legendary hero emerges: Flint. This Mythic Infantry powerhouse, with his towering strength and indomitable spirit, is a force to be reckoned with.

Appearing on the scene in Generation 2, approximately 40 days into the server’s life, Flint offers a significant boost to your team’s capabilities. His high attack and defense stats make him a formidable tank and damage dealer, capable of withstanding the harshest conditions and dealing devastating blows to your enemies.

But what truly sets Flint apart is his accessibility. As one of the first Mythic Infantry heroes available to free-to-play players, he’s a game-changer, offering a substantial power-up to your early and mid-game strategy.

Whiteout Survival Flint Guide: Flint’s Story

Story I

Whiteout Survival Flint Guide: Story I

Flint is the flame that is always ready to burn down Phaethon in his vengeance. It’s almost certain that his personal crusade against Phaethon will only end in either his or Phaethon’s demise.

Flint and his ragtag followers (most of whom have suffered at the hands of Phaethon) often partnered with the Dawn Alliance in their fight against Phaethon’s forces. Bahiti and the others knew that Flint would never take an innocent life. As for criminals and wrongdoers? They won’t receive any mercy from Flint’s hands.

Story II

Whiteout Survival Flint Guide: Story II

Flint was a high-ranking military officer. In a scouting mission, he got separated from his own platoon and ended up in a remote City known as “Arcadia”. That City was the closest thing to utopia – a place filled with theaters, auditoriums, and even libraries! The City did not have weapons; its citizens were peace-loving scholars, so they do not see a need for firearms.

Flint fell in love with the City and the machinist Jessie. His time in Arcadia made him believe a bright future can be built even in this icy world. His hope and belief were soon destroyed in a horrible raid on Arcadia.

Story III

An emissary from Phaethon showed up at Arcadia’s door and demanded the immediate transfer of all knowledge pertaining to “fire crystal”. The Chief refused, knowing full well their research can be turned into destructive weapons of war. When Phaethon razed the City to the ground, Flint was the only fighter that put up a resistance. He was terribly injured during the fight but somehow survived the ordeal. His hopes for a better future are now replaced by a burning desire for vengeance.

Flint and Jessie crossed paths again many years later. Embers of the couple’s old affection still remained, but Jessie could not approve of Flint’s all-consuming quest for vengeance. Flint will always hold a special place in Jessie’s heart, but she can never bring herself to love a man dedicated to destruction. The former lovers have now drifted apart.

Whiteout Survival Flint Guide: Hero Acquisition

Flint is a Generation 2 Mythic hero, meaning he is only obtainable after the server reaches 40 days. As a Mythic hero, acquiring enough shards to fully upgrade Flint can be a challenge, especially for F2P players. However, Flint is one of the few Mythic heroes obtainable for free via the Lucky Wheel event. He is the featured hero for Generation 2’s Lucky Wheel, which runs between days 40 and 120 of the server.

Lucky Wheel

During the Lucky Wheel event, ten spins cost 13,500 gems, and single spins cost 1,500 gems. Players get three free spins over the three days the Lucky Wheel is active. To obtain 15 Flint shards, players will need to spend 16,500 gems per Lucky Wheel (one ten-spin, two single spins).

The Lucky Wheel event appears three times during Generation 2. This means players could obtain 45 Flint shards if they spend 49,500 gems across the three events. It’s recommended to save gems to complete the full 120 spins to maximize rewards from the event.

Hall of Heroes & Daily Deals

Flint shards become available in the Hall of Heroes & Daily Deals after Generation 2.

Whiteout Survival Flint Guide: Upgrading Flint’s Skills

Upgrading Flint’s skills can be a costly process, especially for F2P players who have limited access to Skill Manuals. Therefore, understanding the optimal order in which to upgrade his skills is important to maximize resource efficiency.

Prioritize Fires of Vengeance for Exploration

This skill is Flint’s primary source of damage, dealing 84% of his attack stat every half-second. The higher the level of this skill, the more damage it will inflict. The damage boost provided by Fires of Vengeance also scales with the skill’s level.

Prioritize Burning Resolve for Expedition

This skill increases the attack of all allied troops by 25% when Flint is the rally leader. The higher the level of this skill, the greater the attack boost. Because rallies consist of multiple players, increasing the damage output of the entire rally by a significant percentage can be a huge benefit.
