Theria Reaches the Finals of Scottish Young Edge 2025

We’re thrilled to announce that Theria has made it to the finals of the Scottish Young EDGE competition!

Out of hundreds of applications from ambitious young startups across Scotland, we’ve been selected as one of the finalists in this year’s Young EDGE category — a huge milestone for us as a growing gaming-focused business.

Young EDGE is part of the wider Scottish EDGE competition — the UK’s largest funding competition for high-growth startups — and supports early-stage founders aged 18–30 who are building businesses with serious potential. Winning finalists receive up to £15,000 in funding to help accelerate their growth.

“Making the finals is already a massive win for us,” said Theria founder Charlie Greener. “We’re building something that sits at the intersection of gaming, media, and community — and getting recognition from Young EDGE helps validate that we’re on the right path.”

If successful, we’ll use the funding to bring on a part-time developer and UX designer, helping us level up the Theria experience across mobile and desktop, and fast-track new features for our players and creators.

Why This Matters

Theria has grown rapidly over the last year — from a small experiment to a platform that now reaches over 400,000 monthly players through our guides, tools, and calculators.

Getting to the Young EDGE finals is a moment to pause and appreciate just how far we’ve come — and get even more fired up about where we’re heading.

The final pitches take place in April, and winners will be announced shortly after. Whatever happens, we’re grateful to be part of Scotland’s incredible startup scene — and so excited to keep growing Theria with you by our side.
