While she might not see much use in PvE content like Giants or Dragons, she truly shines in PvP modes such as Arena, Guild Wars, and Real-Time Arena (RTA). Chacha, the Dark Howl in Summoners War, starts as a 3★ support monster with modest base stats, which improve significantly upon awakening and even more after her Second Awakening (2A). When awakened, her stats are 8,400 HP, 549 ATK, 538 DEF, and 99 Speed. These are decent numbers for a support unit, especially with above-average base Speed for a 3-star monster. After receiving her 2A, her stats jump considerably, making her much more viable in competitive play.
Her HP increases to 10,980, ATK to 659, and DEF to 681, while her Speed remains at 99. Her critical rate, critical damage, resistance, and accuracy remain unchanged throughout, with base values of 15% for crit rate and resistance, 50% crit damage, and 0% accuracy. These stat increases make Chacha far tankier and better equipped to survive in high-level PvP scenarios where she serves as a healer, cleanser, and debuff reflector.

How to Obtain
![]() Secret Dungeon | ![]() Temple of Wishes |
To obtain Chacha (Dark Howl) in Summoners War, you have two primary options:
Secret Dungeon: Chacha appears in the Dark Howl Secret Dungeon, which can be accessed during Hall of Dark days or by crafting it via the Crafting Building using essences and mana. This dungeon consists of 10 stages, and upon completion, you’ll receive Summoning Pieces for Chacha. Collecting 40 Summoning Pieces allows you to summon her directly.
Temple of Wishes: You can also acquire Chacha through the Temple of Wishes, a building unlocked at level 7. By spending 3,000 Mana Stones, you can make a wish for a random reward, which includes a chance to receive a 3- to 5-star monster. While the probability is low (0.5%), it’s another avenue to obtain her.
For skill-ups, it’s recommended to use other Howl monsters rather than Devilmons. Feeding 11 Howl monsters will fully skill up Chacha.
If you’re aiming to build Chacha for PvP, especially after her Second Awakening, focusing on obtaining her through the Secret Dungeon is advisable, as it allows you to collect multiple copies for skill-ups and ensures you have a fully awakened and skilled-up version of her.

Rune
Strategy
Chacha’s main strategic strength lies in her role as a PvP support and anti-cleave monster, especially after her Second Awakening. Her kit focuses on healing, cleansing harmful effects, and disrupting enemy buffs and turns. In battle, she excels at countering fast, burst-heavy teams that rely on stacking buffs and debuffs to quickly eliminate your units. Using her Skill 3, Chacha can transfer her own harmful effects onto the enemy while stealing their buffs and swapping attack bars, which can severely disrupt the opponent’s tempo and give your team a critical advantage.
To maximize her effectiveness, build Chacha with high speed, resistance, and accuracy so she can cleanse and react quickly, and use Revenge and Violent runes to allow frequent counterattacks and reduce cooldowns. Position her in your PvP teams alongside bruisers or control monsters who can capitalize on the disruption she causes. She pairs well with monsters that benefit from sustained survivability and need time to build their combos, as her heals and immunity grant crucial durability.
Strength and Weakness

Strength: Chacha’s key strengths revolve around her exceptional support and disruption capabilities in PvP. Her ability to cleanse harmful effects and heal allies simultaneously makes her a reliable sustain unit in tough battles. After her Second Awakening, her Skill 2 grants Immunity to an ally, which is invaluable for protecting teammates from crowd control and debuffs. Her Skill 3 is especially powerful, allowing her to transfer her own debuffs onto enemies, steal buffs, and swap attack bars, which can completely disrupt enemy strategies and turn the flow of battle in your favor
Weakness: Chacha’s main weaknesses stem from her reliance on her Second Awakening (2A) to unlock her full potential. Without 2A, her kit lacks the powerful Immunity buff and the full effect of her Skill 3, which limits her disruptive and survivability tools. She also has relatively low damage output, so she’s not suited for carrying fights or dealing with heavy damage threats by herself.
Synergy
Chacha synergizes best with monsters that benefit from her cleansing, healing, and debuff disruption, making her an excellent backbone for sustain-heavy PvP teams. Pairing her with bruisers or tanky damage dealers—like Veromos, Ragdoll, or Theomars—works well because Chacha can keep them alive by removing harmful effects and granting immunity, allowing those damage dealers to dish out continuous damage safely.
She also works great with crowd control monsters such as Hathor or Ganymede, who can lock down enemies while Chacha manages buffs and debuffs, ensuring your team stays healthy and in control. Since her Skill 3 can swap attack bars and steal buffs, pairing her with monsters that capitalize on turn advantage—like Perna or Zaiross—can create devastating combos.
Moreover, using Chacha alongside other Revenge rune users maximizes your team’s ability to punish enemy aggression and maintain momentum. Overall, she fits perfectly in anti-cleave lineups focused on disruption, sustain, and control, making your team much harder to burst down or outpace.
