LIGHT HOWL
Shushu
Overview
Summoners War Shushu Light Howl is a 2★ support-type monster known for her healing, cleansing, and utility in early to mid-game content. Once awakened, she unlocks her signature skill “Heal! Heal!”, which heals all allies and provides additional healing to the lowest HP ally. If that ally is fully healed, they gain two turns of immunity, making Shushu a useful healer when dealing with debuffs or consistent AoE damage. Her skill set includes “Attack!”, a basic attack that also heals the lowest HP ally, and “Dispel!”, which removes harmful effects from both herself and one ally while healing herself.
These combined abilities make her a strong budget alternative to more popular support monsters like Lulu, especially when a Light-element healer is needed.

Shushu, the Light Howl in Summoners War, has well-rounded stats that make her a solid early- to mid-game support monster. Unawakened at 6★, she has a base speed of 98, with approximately 6,750 HP, 472 attack, and 560 defense. Upon awakening, her speed increases slightly to 99, and her stats also get a noticeable boost—her HP rises to around 9,060, her defense increases to roughly 593, while her attack slightly drops to 450, which is a typical trade-off for greater survivability in support monsters. These stats make her more durable, helping her better fulfill her role as a healer and cleanser.

Rune
Strategy
Shushu, the Light Howl, serves as a dependable support monster in Summoners War, particularly effective in early to mid-game PvE content. Her primary role is to heal, cleanse, and provide immunity to allies, making her a strong defensive unit in teams vulnerable to crowd control or continuous damage effects. She fits best into compositions that rely on sustained damage dealers, such as Crow or Lapis, who benefit from being kept alive through her consistent support. Shushu synergizes well with monsters that offer AoE defense breaks or provoke effects, like Belladeon or Verdehile, as she helps sustain these frontliners during prolonged battles.
For runes, Shushu is best built on Swift/Energy or Swift/Guard in the early game, using SPD/HP%/HP% as her primary stats. This build maximizes her ability to take frequent turns and keep the team healthy. As players progress, transitioning to Violent/Will or Violent/Revenge with the same main stat priorities allows her to reduce skill cooldowns through extra turns, increasing her healing frequency and utility. Substats such as additional speed, HP%, and resistance should be prioritized to enhance her survivability and ensure she gets turns before damage or debuffs overwhelm your team.
Strength and Weakness

Strength: Shushu, the Light Howl, has several notable strengths that make her a valuable support unit, especially in early to mid-game content. One of her key advantages is her versatile healing kit, which includes both single-target and AoE heals. Her first skill not only deals damage but also heals the ally with the lowest HP, while her second skill provides a self-heal and cleanse, helping her and one ally recover from harmful effects. Her third skill, “Heal! Heal!,” is particularly strong—it heals all allies and grants immunity to fully healed targets, making it great for mitigating incoming debuffs and damage-over-time effects.
Weakness: Despite her usefulness early on, Shushu (Light Howl) comes with several notable weaknesses that limit her viability in later stages of Summoners War. One of her main drawbacks is her limited healing output—while she has multiple healing skills, the amount healed is relatively modest compared to top-tier support monsters like Lulu, Riley, or even Fran. Her heals scale off her attack power, which typically isn’t prioritized on a support build, leading to underwhelming healing if not properly optimized.
Synergy
Shushu (Light Howl) synergizes best with teams that rely on sustained damage, crowd control resistance, or long-term survivability. Her kit—comprising single-target healing, cleanse, and AoE healing with immunity—makes her an ideal partner for allies who either lack self-sustain or are vulnerable to debuffs.
She works especially well with damage dealers who need protection and turn uptime, such as Crow, Lapis, or Raoq (2A). These units benefit from her healing and immunity, allowing them to stay active and avoid being shut down by harmful effects. In particular, units that rely on defense breaks or DoT effects to do damage benefit from staying on the field longer, which Shushu helps enable.
Shushu also complements provokers or tanks, like Darion, Vigor, or Veromos, who absorb enemy focus and need constant healing and cleansing to stay alive. Her immunity buff from “Heal! Heal!” can help prevent stuns or freezes from interrupting provoke cycles or other tank mechanics. In control-heavy PvE content like Tower of Ascension (ToA), she synergizes well with units that apply crowd control themselves (e.g., Spectra or Baretta), by ensuring those control units stay healthy and functional.
Lastly, she pairs well with turn-cycling supports or speed boosters such as Megan or Bernard, who help her rotate her heals more frequently, compensating for her otherwise average cooldowns.
In summary, Shushu synergizes best with allies who either can’t heal themselves or are vulnerable to debuffs, especially in teams built for PvE sustain, debuff resistance, or attrition strategies
