Honkai Star Rail Version 3.1 Update and Maintenance Notice

Greetings, Trailblazers!

The Express Crew will carry out a version update and maintenance on 2025/02/26 at 06:00 (UTC+8). After completion, the game will be updated to Version 3.1: “Light Slips the Gate, Shadow Greets the Throne.”

During maintenance, the game will be temporarily unavailable. Please plan your gaming time accordingly, as updating the game client will be required afterward.

Good news! Pre-installation for Version 3.1 is now available. Trailblazers can pre-download essential resources for a quicker launch after maintenance.

Tip: Due to the large file size, it’s recommended to pre-install or update using a Wi-Fi connection.

The update will start on 2025/02/26 at 06:00 (UTC+8) and is expected to take around 5 hours to complete.

Compensation Details

Server Maintenance Compensation

• Reward: Stellar Jade ×300
• Eligibility: Available to Trailblazers with Trailblaze Level ≥ 4 before 2025/02/26 06:00 (UTC+8)
• Delivery: The Express Crew will send the compensation via in-game mail within 5 hours after the update is completed.

Make sure to claim the reward before Version 3.1 concludes!

Pre-Download Guide

■ PC

Open HoYoPlay and locate the “Game Pre-Installation” icon next to the “Start Game” button. Click the icon to begin downloading.

• Trailblazers can continue playing the game while pre-downloading on PC.

■ Mobile (Android and iOS)

Launch the game and tap the “Resource Pre-Download” button located at the bottom-right corner of the login screen to start the download.

• The game will be unavailable during pre-download on mobile devices. Please allocate time for pre-installation.

■ PlayStation®

Launch Honkai: Star Rail on PlayStation®. If there is enough storage space, the game will automatically begin pre-installation after a short delay.

Special Clarification

The Express Crew advises Trailblazers to secure enough storage space in advance and use a Wi-Fi connection for a smoother download experience.

■ PC Version

• Pre-installation size: Around 4.5 GB.
• Recommended storage: At least 10 GB to support future updates without issues.

If voice-over expansion packs in multiple languages are installed, the required storage space will adjust accordingly.

■ Mobile Version (Android and iOS)

• Pre-installation size: Approximately 2 GB.
• Additional storage: After pre-installation, a file integration process will need 9 GB of available space.
• Post-update reminder: The latest client must still be downloaded after the version update to access new content.

If some resources fail to integrate, the missing files will download automatically. It’s best to keep sufficient storage free.

■ PlayStation® Version

• Recommended storage: Ensure at least 14 GB of available space for pre-installation.
