Evony Version 4.86.0 Update Announcement

On the 15th of November, 2024, Evony released the Eighth Anniversary version 4.86.0 update. This update saw the arrival of many new events, as well as updates to existing mechanics in the game. This guide will break down the updates, and let you know all the important features:

Changelog of Update

Champions Level Increase + New Champion

• Champion levels were increased from 20 to 28, offering a lot more buffs for players to get.

• Champion Marcia was added – only available in level 5 King’s Party event (level 5 cake). Meaning you must spend 350$ to obtain this champion.

Dragons Level Increase + New Dragon

• Dragon level cap for Pasture and Sacred Dragons were increased from 15 to 20. The biggest winners from this update (Credit: Cier) was Celtic, Thebes, and Yggdrasil. The biggest losers from this update was Norway Ridge, Colchian, and Jawzahr.
• New dragon Radiantwyrm was introduced. This dragon can be acquired at a maximum of 300 spins in the Wheel of Dragon War event, for a cost of 400-1000$ depending on your usage of triple / double coupons.
  • This dragon focuses on mounted troops – although if you are already sorted for a mounted dragon, we recommend placing it on a sub city due to its debuffing effects.

Change to Daily Activity

The Boss Monster Kill (killing bosses) quest has instead been replaced with a Consume Stamina quest. This is not very impactful, but always nice if you just want to quickly do your dailies – you can now attack monsters to make it count.

Package Value Return Boost

Packages have received a buff. Previously the standard packs were deemed to have a ‘65,000%’ bonus, they are now 90,000%. This means you will get more bang for your buck – probably to help more people get to k45 ahead of the k50 update (which we speculate will come in approximately 6 months time).

New Best Ground General

Evony introduced two new generals with this update, Narcissus and Lucilla. They both have covenants available and are both European Ground Generals that can only be earned through packs.

Narcissus is now the number one Ground general in Evony. You can see his general profile here. We have also created a general profile for Lucilla, here. We have started to include skill book combinations in these general profile (spoiler alert, there is no disallowed skill books for either of these generals). We have updated our General Compatibility Tool – so you can see what generals they pair with. At time of writing, we currently only have pairings for Narcissus (for which there are many), but will update with Lucilla combinations once we gain more information.

New Castle Decoration

A new castle / keep decoration was added: Colosseum of Rome. This decoration can be unlocked in the Hall of Champions event, and has three levels. The buffs focus on enemy ranged troop attack, marching ground troop attack, ground troop defense and HP, and enemy ground and mounted troop defense and HP.

New Events

The Eighth Anniversary Events

A series of events that are similar to the Napoleon events we saw back in November 2023. This includes Gladiator’s Trials (the questionnaire event) for which you can find the answers here; Fearless Clash Against Tiger – a new boss that you can spawn; Glory of Rome – consume Laurel Crowns gained from packs, killing bosses, and resource gathering, for a change to win great rewards including the new General Lucilla, Blood of Ares, Resources, and more; Uprising War – earn scores to unlock rewards and redeem items in shop; and Hall of Champions – gain scores to unlock rewards and purchase items in the shop by purchasing basic gems, gathering resources, producing resources, killing bosses, offering tributes, consuming blood of ares / refine stones / tactic scrolls etc. and more.
