In Grow a Garden, the Moonlit Mutation is a unique transformation that enhances the value of your crops. It is a desirable mutation that can significantly boost your earnings.
The Moonlit mutation causes your crops to appear purple and emit a distinct purple glow. When applied, it provides a x2 multiplier to the crop’s base sale value, doubling the amount of Sheckles you earn.
You will receive a notification on your screen when a crop successfully mutates with Moonlit.
How to Get the Moonlit Mutation
Grow a Garden Moonlit Mutation primarily occurs during the Night event in Grow a Garden. There are two main ways to obtain it:
Night
The Moonlit mutation can happen randomly to your crops when night falls in the game. During the night cycle, up to six plants can randomly receive the Moonlit mutation every two minutes.
While it’s a random occurrence, simply waiting for nighttime to happen gives your crops a chance to mutate.
Night Staff
The Night Staff is a special tool that can guarantee the Moonlit mutation on certain plants. This item is a reward from the Lunar Glow Event. You can earn the first Night Staff after accumulating a total of 40 Lunar Points by turning in Moonlit Fruits to the Wise Old Owl. The Lunar Glow event’s reward track offers a total of six Night Staffs.
The Night Staff is placed in your garden, not used from your inventory. Once placed, it has six uses, meaning it can randomly grant the Grow a Garden Moonlit Mutation to six of your crops. The mutations are applied randomly to any crop on your farm within your area.
Moonlit Mutation
The Moonlit mutation can stack with other growth mutations, such as Gold or Rainbow, and environmental mutations. When stacked with other mutations, the total value multiplier of your crop can increase significantly. For example, a crop with Rainbow, Shocked, Frozen, Choc, and Moonlit mutations can achieve a 5,550x value multiplier.
