How to get Grow a Garden Rainbow Mutation
The Rainbow mutation is a “Growth mutation” that happens naturally as a crop develops. It is considered harder to obtain than the Gold mutation. There are two primary ways to get it:
Chance
There is a very low 0.1% chance for a crop to grow with the Rainbow mutation instead of its normal variant. This means, on average, it appears on only 1 out of every 1000 fruits.
Pet
The Butterfly pet can apply the Rainbow mutation to your crops. However, if a Butterfly pet applies this mutation, it requires the crop to already have five or more mutations, and all previous mutations will be replaced by the Rainbow mutation. When applied by the Butterfly pet, a notification will appear on the player’s screen.
While largely dependent on luck due to its rare random occurrence, you can try to maximize your chances. Fill your garden with a large number of multi-harvest plants to increase the overall volume of crops, thereby increasing the statistical likelihood of a Rainbow mutation appearing.
Employ Advanced or Godly sprinklers in the area where you have densely planted crops. This can contribute to a higher chance of mutations.
Grow a Garden Rainbow Mutation can combine with other mutations, further increasing the value of your crops. However, there is a key restriction: a crop cannot have both the Golden and Rainbow mutations simultaneously.
