The Orange Tabby is a Rare pet in Roblox: Grow a Garden, introduced with the Animal Update on May 3, 2025. It is one of three cat pets available in the game, alongside the regular Cat and the Moon Cat.
How to Get Grow a Garden Orange Tabby
Rare Egg
The primary way to obtain the Orange Tabby is by hatching Rare Eggs. When hatching a Rare Egg, you have a 33.33% chance of getting an Orange Tabby, making it the most common pet found within this egg type.
Historically, Rare Eggs could be purchased from the Pet Egg Stand (Raphael’s Stall) for 600,000 Sheckles. The Pet Egg Stand refreshes its stock every 30 minutes, and the Rare Egg had a 21% to 24% chance of appearing in stock. Rare Eggs take 2 hours to hatch.
Rare Egg is currently unavailable. This means that the Orange Tabby pet is currently unobtainable through hatching. However, some sources also state that the Orange Tabby is considered a “permanent” pet, not bound by event expiration dates, implying it may become obtainable again in future updates or rotations of the Pet Egg Stand.
Grow a Garden Orange Tabby: Passive Ability
The Orange Tabby possesses a passive trait that focuses on increasing the size of nearby fruits. It will nap for approximately 15 to 15.42 seconds every 88.87 to 90 seconds. While it naps, any new fruits within a range of about 15 to 15.16 studs will grow 1.5x to 1.53x larger.
This ability is beneficial for maximizing the sell value of your crops, as larger fruits yield more Sheckles. It’s important to note that this passive only works on new fruits.
Grow a Garden Orange Tabby is considered a direct upgrade to the Uncommon Cat’s ability, as the Uncommon Cat only increases fruit size by 1.25x (though its ability activates 10 seconds faster). The Orange Tabby shares a similar trait with the Moon Cat, a Legendary pet that also boosts fruit size.
