The Panda is a Legendary pet in Roblox: Grow a Garden that offers unique benefits related to bamboo harvesting and selling. It has a white body with a black stripe, black tail, feet, and black circles around its eyes, along with black ears. It occasionally sits down.
How to Obtain Grow a Garden Panda
Grow a Garden Panda was an exclusive pet that was only obtainable for a limited time. It was available for the first 75 minutes after the Animal Update release on May 3, 2025.
Players could claim the Panda by interacting with its dedicated stand next to the new egg stall. The Panda was the first pet not obtainable from an egg.
It is currently unobtainable through the base game. However, players who already have one might be able to gift it to others. It’s important to note that specific weekly game updates might offer free pets, but there’s no guarantee.
Over time, the Panda is expected to become one of the rarest pets due to its limited availability.
Grow a Garden Panda: Passive Ability
The Panda’s main ability is to eat bamboo plants in your garden. Every 3 minutes, the Panda will eat a piece of bamboo from the player’s plot and automatically sell it for a 1.5x value increase.
The player still receives the money after the Panda eats the bamboo. If there is no bamboo in the garden, the Panda will simply wander around aimlessly.
Its ability is similar to the Bunny and Black Bunny pets, which eat carrots for a value bonus. A notable point is that the Panda does not recognize mutations, meaning it will sell mutated bamboo for the same price as regular bamboo.
This ability can be problematic if you intend to keep bamboo for other purposes, such as feeding the Angry Plant, so you might need to pick up your Panda to prevent it from eating all your bamboo.
