The Toxic Mutation is a crop mutation introduced in the Roblox: Grow a Garden Fairy Event update on August 30, 2025. It boosts the value of your crops and gives them a unique appearance.

Crops with the Toxic mutation will drip green liquid. It also changes the look of your crops, including color, texture, glow, and particle effects.

Grow a Garden Toxic Mutation - Cockatrice

Cockatrice

Currently, the only way Grow a Garden players can get a crop with the Toxic mutation is by using the Cockatrice pet.

The Cockatrice is a rare, limited-time pet that was added during the Fairy Event. The Cockatrice is obtained by hatching an Enchanted Egg, this pet has a 1% hatch chance.

The Cockatrice has a passive ability called “Venom Spit”. If equipped, the Cockatrice will use its Venom Spit ability every 10 minutes (or every 625-180 seconds, depending on the pet’s traits).

Grow a Garden Toxic Mutation: Value Multiplier

The Toxic mutation adds a significant x15 value multiplier to the affected crop, considerably boosting its worth. Crop mutations can be combined with other mutations to significantly increase a pet’s final sale price.

This stacking effect allows the players to achieve a much higher value than any single mutation would provide on its own.
