Chapter 2: Keep 11

You’ve made it! You are finally keep 11, congratulations. You may be wondering what is so special about k11 – well the answer is rallies. Rallies are when you and a collection of alliance teammates. These rallies on bosses will give you a great amount of rewards – especially speed ups and resources! This will allow you to progress rapidly. For a full list of bosses, check this guide out here.

To begin rallying bosses you must build a war hall – this is what allows you to join rallies.

Next, you should create a Preset at the rally spot. Presets allow you to set a predetermined march – this will save you a lot of time! This march should include 1 troop of either cav, ground, or arch – never use siege when joining rallies! If you have a double drops general, like cleopatra (more on her later) or baibars, you should use them too. If you are not using a general, it is best to use no general and to use one ground troop. This will result in the ground troop always being wounded when rallying a boss, and therefore there is no march time back to your keep meaning that you can rally more bosses faster without having to wait on marches returning! You should also deselect and subordinate cities you have.

Every time you join a boss rally, you will consume stamina. Stamina is like energy, you need stamina to do certain tasks (mainly attack bosses / monsters). Stamina regenerates over time, can be bought in the store, bought in packs, or can be won in events – you can also gift and receive stamina from other players using waybills. I would recommend purchasing 10 x 50 stamina from the store per day for 2,000 gems – this is the cheapest you can get stamina for (after 10 pieces it begins to go up in price).

As a new player, you won’t be running the rallies unless you are coining hard (and if you are, I suggest reading all the guides before spending any more money to get a really clear understanding of how to best spend your money). At this stage you don’t want to build any troops – you won’t start building an army until k30. For now just make t1 troops that allow you to join rallies. To join rallies you will want to join a powerful alliance which are active. These alliances will have players that run bosses for you, and you can just send one troop in order to share the rewards! To join a rally click on the alliance tab on the right hand side, click alliance war, and then join the rallies that way.

Previously I had mentioned Cleopatra, she is a basic general that gives a 20% double drop rate – this means that on average with this general, you should achieve double the rewards every five rallies you join! There are other ways to increase this percentage, but more on that later. To get Cleopatra you can find her in the tavern, although these easiest way is to complete the first ten puzzles of Evony. The next section of the guide will be when you reach k27. This may take a week to a couple months depending on how much you play and if you coin. You may need to change alliances depending on whether your current alliance is active or not – try and get into one of the top three alliances in your server, they should be pretty active with rallies. If you leave an alliance you will face a cooldown of 12 hours, to avoid this ask to be kicked – this will bypass the cooldown meaning you can join your new alliance ASAP.
