Revelation of Maya Event

Introduction

During the Revelation of Maya Event, you have to explore different levels of Mayan ruins. In the beginning, you have to choose a special buff, your troops (only T15 troops available for all keep levels) and then dispel fogs, attack different opponents, take buildings, heal, and collect gold and buffs. The opponent’s power goes up with each level as well as the rewards you can claim at certain stages. Buffs at this event are stocking up, so don’t be afraid to choose the same ones repeatedly.

At the end of the event, all players from your server will be ranked by their score and will get different rewards. All killed opponents, occupied buildings, your troop amount, gold, and runes provide you with score.

Opponents

  • Mayan Warrior – lowest power, 10 scores, might give a buff
  • Mayan Guard – middle power, 20 scores, optional buff guarantee
  • Mayan Priest – highest power, 40 scores, special buffs guarantee

Buildings

  • Portal: After you kill the Mayan Priest, it will turn into a Portal, which will let you into the next level
  • Crescent Totem Tower: Occupation will decrease your troop amount with 10%, increase your troops’ attack, HP, and defense by 10% at this stage, and provides you 20 scores
  • Typhoon Totem Tower: Occupation will decrease your troop amount with 10%, remove 40% of the target max HP at the current stage, and gives you 50 scores
  • Poisonwood Totem Tower: Removes 5% of your troop amount for each fog dispelled, until you reach the building, and there’s at least 2 empty spots around it (without fog), occupation removes another 10% of your troop amount and give you 50 scores
  • Mayan Camp: You can recruit troops here, always check with the magnifying glass what troops the offered generals have
  • Life Stream: Healing object, you can choose to heal 20% of all marches, 40% of 1 troop slot, or 20% of a killed slot
  • Mayan Calendar Stone: Gives you a random buff
  • Mayan Market: You can buy runes and buffs here for gold

Stages

There are 20 stages, and you can return to specific stages from certain points. The normal stages will have 2 random buildings from the above ones.

  • Special stages:
    • Stage 1: Special buff
    • Stage 3: No enemies, heal/buff/market
    • Stage 5: Mayan Priest only
    • Stage 8: No enemies, healing
    • Stage 10: Mayan Priest only
    • Stage 11: Special buff
    • Stage 13: Poisonous Fog starting from here – dispelling it removes a small amount of your troops and gives you 5 scores
    • Stage 14: No enemies, healing
    • Stage 17: Mayan Priest only
    • Stage 18: No enemies, healing
    • Stage 19: 7 Mayan Guard and Mayan Priest
    • Stage 20: Mayan Priest only
  • Stages you can return to:
    • Stage 1, stage 3, stage 8, stage 14, stage 18
    • You can only return to the closest stage from those, or to stage 1 (for example from stage 9, you can choose to return to stage 8 or stage 1)

How to Finish All 20 Stages

If you are in a rush, and just want to finish all the levels, or just can’t be bothered with another event:

  • Avoid all Totems and Poisonous Fog
  • In the early stages kill all the bosses and collect buffs and healing runes
  • When the middle bosses become stronger, and you get too much wound, just skip them
  • Use your healing items at the later stages for the bigger bosses
  • Don’t use buffs, which won’t let you heal by runes

Tips to Get 11k Scores

  • Generals: use the ones with march size buff/march size skill book
  • Use only sieges, no layers necessary
  • Occupy all buildings, dispel all poisonous fog, and kill every single boss
  • Recruit as many generals as possible
  • Recommended buffs:
    • Stage 1. buff should be either “money bags” or “logistic supply”
    • Stage 11. buff, you want as many troops as you can have, so the best option is “strength in numbers”, do not choose the “desperate gambler”
    • Don’t choose buffs which won’t let you heal by runes
    • Purple buffs:
      • Triple lines
      • God in fog (1 Mayan gold for every dispelled fog)
      • Laws of survival ( dispelling poisonous fog won’t give you wounds)
      • Luck ( gives you 4 instead of the 3 buff to choose)
      • Field Hospital (20% of the lost troops are restored after every battle)
    • Common buffs:
      • Always choose something for sieges, if there’s nothing for siege, then for archer (level 3 archer buff will buff your sieges too)
      • Concentrate on attack and HP, at the later stages you might choose a purple buff which will reduce your defense
    • There are different combinations that can provide you with really high buffs. Here are some examples:
      • God in fog + Hand of Famine + Ring of the Rhine
      • Get 5 Field Hospital, so you can kill anything without wounds
      • Get 3-4 Unstoppable Force, so you will have a 90-120% chance to kill the small and the middle bosses instantly, without wounds ( only works if you have sieges)
  • Try to save up all your healing runes for the last stage
  • At stage 20:
    • First, try to NOT kill the Priest, try to make his HP as low as you can
    • Try to hit it with only 1 march, make sure if you didn’t collect any “Filled Hospital” you have a rune that can heal the zeroed slot
    • After the Priest’s HP is low, heal all your troops and hit it with your best marches (3 of them if you have the “Triple lines”)

Conclusion

The event is easy to finish and is one of the rare events where you don’t have to be a big keep to get high scores. Although, if you want to finish in the top 10, it will take some time, and you may have to restart it a lot of times to get the wanted buffs and many Mayan camps.
