Upgrading the Sawmill increases both Lumber Production Speed and the maximum amount of Lumber that can be temporarily stored.
Once production begins, the Sawmill reaches its maximum storage capacity after approximately 12 hours. To avoid wasting production, make sure to collect the Lumber before the storage limit is reached.
You can collect stored Lumber by tapping the wood icon above the Sawmill or using the collection icon available through the Warehouse.
The Sawmill is also an important upgrade requirement for several buildings. Higher Sawmill levels are needed to upgrade the Archer Camp, Workshop, Trap Factory, and certain Keep levels, including Keep Level 21.
Upgrade requirements (resources, etc.)
Upgrading the Sawmill requires increasing amounts of resources and construction time as its level rises.
The displayed Construction Time depends on your current Construction Speed bonuses, so the actual upgrade time may vary between players.
You can check your Construction Speed under the Administration section of the Monarch Details screen.
