General Equipment

There a variety of levels and types of equipment available for Generals – although the only ones that matter are Champions, Kings, Dragon, Achae, Ares, and Civ. This guide will not cover information on civ gear due to its nature – for a full guide on civ gear check out this link here.

Champions Equipment

This equipment offers the following set bonuses:

  • 2/4 = 10% Gathering Speed Buff
  • 4/4 = 10% Extra Resources from Gathering buff

This gear is cheap to make, and can easily increase the amount of resources you produce. It may be worth calculating as to whether the extra resource buff outweighs the gathering speed buff of Kings Equipment. You can switch out from Kings gear to Champions gear just before they leave a tile in order to receive the gather speed boost of Kings gear, with the extra resources from Champions.

Kings Equipment

There is only two reasons for crafting King’s Equipment – the Ring for double drops on rally joining gens like Cleo or Baibars, and to produce items for gathering speed increases. Do not build PVP equipment from King’s Gear, it is a total waste of materials.

Dragon Equipment

This is the first PVP gear anyone should consider building – this is because the equipment is unlocked at k27, forge 27, and is usually achieved by most players prior to SVS unlocking. It is also easier to unlock due to smaller material requirements than Achae gear, and also dragon scrolls and easier to come by.

This gear offers great PVP buffs, are by collecting a set you can unlock a 10% buff to attacking Troop’s Attack.

Ares Equipment

At k30, forge 30, Ares equipment is available, and is made by upgrading dragon equipment. This gear offers buffs and debuffs. There are various requirements besides having the correct forge level, or materials. For Ares gear there are things like having buildings at a certain level, unlocking Wonder 1, general power etc. For this reason, some people may find it easier to unlock Achae gear than Ares.

This gear can be upgrade to create Imperial. To read more, click here.

Achaemenidae Equipment

This is the best, non-coiner gear, and unlocks at k33, forge 33. This gear will take a while to accumulate, but offers better buffs than Dragon gear, and most importantly it offers debuffs. This equipment can be used in combination with sub city generals in order to properly start to debuff your enemy. An entire set of Aech gear on a general will activate a further -15% Enemy Troop Attack debuff. If you have 9 subs, plus a main attacking gen and a assistant gen, that is a -165% debuff purely from this bonus alone – never mind the debuffs on the equipment itself, or the speciality skills of gens.

This gear can be upgrade to create Parthian. To read more, click here.
