The Evony Holy Palace allows you to recall deserters and revive troops that have died and become Souls.
Upgrading the Holy Palace increases its capacity for both deserters and souls. It also improves Horn production speed and increases the percentage of dead troops that can become souls.
Construction of the Holy Palace becomes available at Keep Level 11.
The Holy Palace is also an important building requirement later in the game. You will need to upgrade it before advancing your Keep to Level 38 and for certain Victory Column upgrades.
Evony Holy Palace Menu (Availability during upgrade, Unlock conditions)
All Holy Palace functions remain available while the building is being upgraded. The main Holy Palace menu is used to recall deserters and revive souls. The Duty feature becomes available at Holy Palace Level 35, allowing you to assign a Duty Officer for additional bonuses.
Evony Holy Palace Milestones
The first major milestone is Level 25, which unlocks the ability to revive Souls. At Level 35, the Holy Palace unlocks the Duty Officer feature.
Evony Holy Palace Upgrade requirements (resources, etc.)
Upgrading the Holy Palace requires increasing amounts of resources and construction time as its level rises.
Keep in mind that the displayed Construction Time depends on your current Construction Speed bonuses. Because of this, the actual time required may differ between players.
You can check your current Construction Speed under the Administration section of the Monarch Details screen.

Evony Holy Palace Duty Officer
The Duty Officer feature unlocks at Holy Palace Level 35.
Assigning a Duty Officer to the Holy Palace provides several useful bonuses. It increases the maximum deserter capacity and the rate at which dead troops are converted into Souls, while also reducing the resources required to revive Souls.
Any general who meets the Duty Officer requirements can be assigned if you only want the standard Holy Palace bonuses.
For better results, Helena is one of the best choices, followed by Trivia Hecate. Their skills provide additional benefits related to troop healing and Holy Palace functions.
Keep in mind that a general must meet certain level, star, and attribute requirements before they can be assigned as a Duty Officer.
