Introduction
The Evony auction house is an event in where players can bid for “Common” and “Rare” goods. It also has one “mysterious” featured item on offer at any one time. You use gems to bid on an item. You can locate the event whilst it is ongoing either in the “Event Center” or by clicking on the icon above the Market.
Goods Available in the Evony Auction House
As mentioned, there are three types of goods available in the auction house – Common, Rare, and Mysterious. Below is a breakdown of the possible goods that may appear in the Auction House:
Mysterious Goods in the Auction House
There is only one mysterious good available at any given time in the Auction House, and every server can bid on this good. Goods include Historic Subordinate City keys, Glory Subordinate City Expansion slots, and Civilization Scrolls.
Glory Subordinate City Expansion
A powerful item that allows you to increase the number of subordinate city slots you have by one – allowing you to have a maximum of up to thirteen subordinate cities. You can only redeem this item once – extra’s will be converted to Epic Subordinate City Optional Chests.
The biding for this item starts at 1,000,000 gems, with 50,000 gems minimum increments.
This item is a great way to obtain Historic Subordinate Cities, although I recommend prioritizing the Glory Subordinate City Expansion slot if possible.
Historic Subordinate City Keys
This item allows you to unlock a Historic Subordinate City. The keys work similar to those gained in the Historic City Searching event, although are for red cities.
The biding for this item starts at 1,000,000 gems, with 50,000 gems minimum increments.
Royal Charge is highly effective for diving into enemy backlines, disrupting positioning, and synergizing well with assassins.
Civilization Scrolls
This item will be a Civilization Scroll for a set piece of civilization gear. It is therefore important to check what piece is on offer, and if you actually need it – if not is will be an expensive mistake!
The biding for this item starts at 500,000 gems, with 50,000 gems minimum increments.
This can be a good source of additional civilization gear if you have an excess of gems.
Rare Goods in the Auction House
There is only one mysterious good available at any given time in the Auction House, and your entire continent can bid on this good. Goods include Historic Subordinate City keys, Glory Subordinate City Expansion slots, and Civilization Scrolls.

Frequently Asked Questions (F.A.Q.)
🔄What happens if a bid is placed within the last five minutes of an auction?
If a player bids on an item when it has less than five minutes to go, the auction house will reset the bidding deadline to five minutes. This means you cannot 'snipe' auctions in Evony.
❌What happens if I am unsuccessful in bidding?
The gems will be returned to you - previously you had to manually claim the gems back, but this is no longer the case.
💸How many servers can bid in the Auction House?
For Common and Rare goods, a few servers will be able to bid in your Auction House. For Mysterious goods, every server can bid for the goods.
🕙When is the Auction House available?
The Auction House is available every 'main event', and so is a regular feature in Evony.
💎Does the Auction House count towards the Gems Consuming Event?
No, gems consumed by bidding do not count towards the Consuming Event in Evony.
