The best (and cheapest) way to level up a general is to attack NPC sub cities. When your sub slots are full, you can attack NPC subs over and over again to farm exp for your generals. This will quickly level them up, and provided you follow the guidance below – won’t cost you a thing, you can do it with zero deaths. The numbers below are a general guidance, and not an absolute – it will vary depending on your tech. Make sure you have the appropriate monarch gear equipped.
Common – 5.5k Exp
To level a general from level 1 to 40 by hitting an Common NPC, it will take 209.491 attacks. Due to this high number, I won’t include the combination here as it is a bit pointless.
Uncommon – 48.8k Exp
To level a general from level 1 to 40 by hitting an Uncommon NPC, it will take 23,439 attacks. Due to this high number, I won’t include the combination here as it is a bit pointless.
Excellent – 143.4k Exp
Use 50k T11 + 25k T10 siege in order to attack an Excellent sub with zero losses.
To level a general from level 1 to 40 by hitting an Excellent NPC, it will take 7,972 attacks.
Legendary – 462.8k Exp
Below is a combination of the quantity of siege machines that may be able to attack an Legendary Sub with zero losses.
- 10k T1-T11
- 50K T12 + 25k T11
To level a general from level 1 to 40 by hitting an Legendary NPC, it will take 2,470 attacks.
Epic – 3,129.4k Exp
Below is a combination of the quantity of siege machines that may be able to attack an Epic Sub with zero losses.
- 100k T12/T13/T14 + 50k T11
- 350k T12 + 50k T11 + 50k T10
- 200k T12 + 100k T11 + 100k T10
To level a general from level 1 to 40 by hitting an Epic NPC, it will take 366 attacks.
Historic – 9,600k Exp
To level up using an Historic sub city, you should should use a minimum of 150k t13’s, 125k t12’s and 150k t11’s with siege monarch gear (tested on F2P 200m power, k34). The number of siege can be reduced if your buffs are higher. This was tested with a k41 and found 100k T13’s and 125k T12’s resulted in zero wounded. Thank you to KoKo for running these tests!
